Role Overview Location: Temple, Texas (Onsite) Looking for your first step into accounting? Join PDI Technologies’ Managed Services team as an Accounting Processing Clerk and gain real-world accounting experience from day one. You’ll support accounting, pricing, fuel management, and data processing for leading convenience retail and petroleum companies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This role is built for people who want a strong foundation in accounting. You’ll learn the accounting cycle hands-on – recording transactions, posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting the month-end close – while working alongside experienced professionals and learning the systems our clients rely on. Why This Is a Great Start to Your Accounting Career: Hands-on experience with core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliations Direct exposure to the month-end close process and financial statement preparation Practical skills that build a foundation for roles such as Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Financial Analyst Experience with industry accounting systems and real client financial data The opportunity to learn from experienced accounting professionals in a supportive, team-oriented environment Stronger Excel, analytical, and reporting skills you’ll use throughout your career What You’ll Do: Maintain and record business transactions for assigned accounts, including A/P, A/R, and other routine accounting activities Perform general ledger activities such as journal entries for accruals or expense account reclassifications Interface with store managers and personnel to ensure efficient store processing, providing timely and accurate data, preparing statements and basic financial reports Generate and review customer financial statements, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts – including billing, bank statements, and credit card settlements – as part of the period close process Review and analyze monthly operating results for accuracy and reasonableness, providing recommendations when opportunities for improvement are presented Follow up on accounting/system issues that affect accounts to ensure proper reporting of financial data Develop and maintain financial reporting and tracking tools What We’re Looking For: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Intermediate Excel skills Excellent customer service skills A genuine interest in building a career in accounting or finance Convenience store or retail experience is a plus Ready to start your accounting career?
