ABOUT OPTEXITY Optexity is a product-driven research lab building clinical reasoning and computer use models on data no other lab can reach. We deploy directly inside clinics and hospitals — including systems with no APIs, using integration infrastructure we've built and open-sourced — and in return become their preferred partner. That gives us proprietary clinical reasoning trajectories from practicing physicians, and a feedback loop between real patient encounters, our models, and the products built on top of them.
We're a small, fast-moving founding team with multiple published papers in NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR etc and background from Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, CMU, IIT. We are backed by world-class investors and leaders like Jeff Dean, Neotribe VC, PearVC, Together Fund and Zapier Fund. HOW WE WORK - Customer obsession — we start with the customer and work backwards - Intellectual honesty — ideas matter more than titles; we communicate directly and assume good intent, even in disagreement - Bias for action — we build and learn with customers rather than debate in the abstract - Extreme ownership — we own outcomes, not just tasks, and see problems through About the role This is not a support role, and not a sales role.
It is a flexible, hands-on role for someone who wants to start a company one day. You will be the face of Optexity to our customers: the practices, clinics and doctors who use our product every day. You will sit with them on site, learn how they work, and bring what you learn back to the founders to shape the product. In one role you get product, customer discovery, customer success, customer coordination and a taste of engineering.
This role is on site in New York, where all of our customers are. What you’ll do - Work directly with doctors, practice managers and clinic staff to understand their workflows and pain points - Run customer discovery: gather requirements, spot patterns across practices, and turn them into clear product priorities - Help design the product with the founders and engineers, and test new features with customers - Onboard new practices: coordinate setup, access, integrations and training - Drive usage: track adoption, find out why users stall, and get more doctors using the product more often - Be the single point of contact for customers, and close the loop on every issue and request - Work with engineers to debug problems, write specs, and ship small fixes yourself where you can - Help with early sales and renewals by building trust and relationships with practices Ideal candidate - Genuinely wants to start a company someday and wants a front-row seat - Strong communicator who is comfortable talking with doctors and busy clinic staff - Highly organized, follows through, and closes loops - Energized by ambiguity and takes ownership without needing to be guided - Based in New York, or willing to move, and comfortable being on site with customers most days - Comfortable with technology, and curious about how software gets built - New Grads welcome to apply Nice to have - Prior experience in customer success, consulting, startups, product or operations - Familiarity with healthcare, practice operations or EMR systems - Basic technical skills such as SQL, scripting or working with APIs - Prior founder or founding team experience What you get - Direct, daily work with the founders, plus exposure to board and investor conversations - A broad view of product, customers, sales and engineering that few roles offer - Real ownership, with scope that grows as the company does - Support on your path to starting your own company - Competitive salary
