ROLE SUMMARY
The Vice President, Integrated Medicines Business (IMB) East is a senior commercial leader responsible for driving portfolio performance across the eastern United States. As one of two co-owning VPs of the newly formed IMB, this leader operates as an enterprise partner — sharing accountability for national strategy, culture, and brand partnership effectiveness while individually owning regional execution. The East VP holds direct oversight of five Regional Business Directors (RBDs).
This role serves as the primary brand interface for Nurtec ODT, Zavzpret, Eliquis, and Paxlovid across the eastern region, and is a critical bridge between today's portfolio and the anticipated launch of Pfizer's first GLP-1 / obesity asset.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional Portfolio Performance
- Deliver net revenue results across the full IMB portfolio in the eastern region: Nurtec ODT, Zavzpret (migraine franchise), Eliquis (CV), and Paxlovid (antiviral).
- Co-own national portfolio performance as part of a unified enterprise scorecard with the IMB West VP and CEP Lead; IC driven primarily by national results.
- Develop and execute regional business plans aligned to national IMB strategy; identify and act on performance gaps and opportunities through RBDs.
- Manage expense base and resource allocation with discipline; build business cases for differential investment against highest-impact opportunities.
- Monitor field execution through dynamic targeting, call planning, and promotion standards across the cross-portfolio CV/Neuroscience model.
- Co-Ownership of National IMB Enterprise
- Act as co-owner of the Integrated Medicines Business nationally — geography defines execution scope, not strategy.
- Jointly own decisions pertaining to national CEP strategy (training, Field IC, POA planning, ABM/rep expectation-setting) in partnership with the CEP Lead and IMB West VP.
- Co-own brand relationships at the VP level, pre-aligning prior to any brand escalation, and ensuring one consolidated sales voice to marketing partners.
- Participate in joint brand reviews and Control Tower sessions.
- Contribute to the annual strategic roadmap and governance cadence including weekly VP Operating Syncs, quarterly Integrated QBRs, and national sales meetings.
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop five RBDs as portfolio general managers — accountable for multi-franchise execution, promotion standards, ABM coaching, and district-level performance across both the Neuroscience and CV sleeves.
- Drive talent strategy across the eastern organization: identify high-potential colleagues, build succession pipelines, and champion cross-regional movement to reinforce one unified IMB culture.
- Hold RBDs accountable for consistent ABM coaching on portfolio fluency and district P&L thinking.
- Establish and sustain a high-performance, inclusive culture in line with Pfizer values; lead engagement efforts in partnership with the IMB West VP to prevent siloed regional identity.
- Performance measures: Pfizer PULSE engagement scores, GROW/IDP completion, talent movement, succession depth.
Brand Partnership & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Engage directly with brand leads for Nurtec ODT, Zavzpret, Eliquis, and Paxlovid — co-owning the brand relationship at the VP level rather than splitting ownership by geography.
- Serve as the field voice of the customer; continuously share eastern market insights, HCP dynamics, and competitive intelligence to inform brand strategy and marketing tactics.
- Collaborate with the Enablement Lead, Operations Team Lead, CEP Strategy & Business Operations Lead, and cross-functional partners (Medical, Legal, Compliance, PCA, Finance, HR, Digital) to ensure field-facing solutions are fit-for-purpose.
- Lead compliance and risk management: ensure eastern field force adherence to all Pfizer policies, legal requirements, and promotion call standards.
- Future Portfolio Readiness — Obesity & GLP-1
- Actively build organizational readiness for the anticipated launch of Pfizer's first GLP-1 asset in the obesity/chronic weight health space.
- Preserve and strengthen CV HCP relationships across the eastern region as a critical bridge toward the obesity launch.
- Develop and share regional insights on obesity market dynamics, HCP prescribing behavior, and payer landscape to inform pre-launch planning.
- Partner with CEP Lead and brand teams to scenario-plan field force evolution, capability investments, and territory design ahead of the obesity launch window.
- Identify and develop field talent with the capability and curiosity to lead in a future GLP-1 / obesity environment.
