Pixaera Technology/Software

Safety Lead (HSE)

Manchester, United Kingdom In person Full-time

Who we are Our mission is to empower every worker to do their job safely and effectively, so they can go home to their family at the end of every shift. That’s why we’re building the operating system for safe front-line work, a huge opportunity with real-world impact. Whether it’s an oil rig in the middle of the ocean or a construction site closer to home, Pixaera is made for the people who keep the world running. We’re a global team of developers, creatives, go-to-market specialists and more.

We move fast, we embrace AI, and we’re incredibly focused on delivering for our customers. If you want your work to have real impact, while working with amazing people, talk to us about coming aboard. Who are we looking for? A certified safety professional who can lead customer programmes from first conversation to full rollout. You’ll own how Pixaera lands with our customers: planning and running rollouts with their HSE and operations teams, advising them on how Pixaera fits into their wider safety system, and bringing what you learn back to shape our product.

You’ll also be our in-house safety expert, the person customers trust when the conversation turns technical. You’ll report to VP Delivery and work closely with our commercial, product and content teams. This isn’t a desk-based compliance role. We want someone hands-on, curious and energetic, who can run a programme review with an HSE director one day and walk a site with a supervisor the next. You will be responsible for Leading customer programmes end to end: scoping, rollout planning, milestones and success measures, from kick-off through to adoption at scale.

Working closely with customers’ HSE, L&D and operations teams to roll our training modules out successfully across their sites, regions and workforces. Providing safety system consulting: helping customers see where Pixaera fits alongside their management systems, Life-Saving Rules, inductions, competency and incident learning, and where it can close gaps. Running programme reviews with customer stakeholders, reporting on progress and impact, and spotting where Pixaera can do more for them.

Being the safety voice on customer calls alongside our account executives, translating what customers need into what Pixaera can deliver. Supporting on-site delivery: running sessions with supervisors and frontline workers and gathering feedback first-hand. Turning customer and frontline insight into clear, prioritised feedback for our product team, and helping test what we build. Checking the technical accuracy of our modules, from PPE and procedures to hazards and controls, and helping turn incident and LFI material into scenarios that feel real.

The hard parts You’ll be our only safety specialist at first, so you’ll often be the final word on whether something is right. Your programmes will succeed or stall on people you don’t manage, across sites with different cultures and priorities. Our content is safety-critical: a scene that looks great but shows the wrong PPE or an unsafe procedure can’t ship. And you’ll switch often between programme planning, customer calls, site visits and detailed reviews, sometimes in the same week.

Our process A 30-minute intro call, a conversation about your safety experience and how you work with frontline teams, a practical session where you plan a rollout for a sample customer and review a Pixaera module, and a final chat with the founders. We aim to complete the whole process within 4 weeks and will always tell you when you’ll next hear from us. Requirements Who are you? You hold a recognised safety qualification such as the NEBOSH General Certificate or an IOSH-accredited equivalent.

A NEBOSH Diploma, or progress towards one, is a strong plus. You have hands-on HSE experience at supervisor, advisor or manager level in a high-risk industry such as construction, energy, oil and gas, mining, utilities, manufacturing or logistics. You’ve led safety programmes, rollouts or change initiatives across multiple sites or teams, owning the plan, the stakeholders and the results. You understand how safety management systems fit together and can advise on where training, behaviours and controls make the biggest difference.

Experience with ISO 45001 is a plus. You’ve worked directly with frontline teams: running inductions, toolbox talks, inspections, audits or incident investigations. You’re confident with customers at every level, from senior safety leaders to frontline crews, and comfortable presenting, handling challenge and building long-term relationships. You’re tech-savvy: you pick up new software quickly, you’re actively using AI in your daily workflow, and you can turn what you see in the field into practical product feedback.

A real plus if you’ve worked in a customer-facing consulting, implementation or customer success role, or built and delivered safety training. You’re based in or around Manchester and happy to travel to customer sites in the UK and occasionally further afield. What you must be An owner: you take responsibility for each customer’s success and follow through until it’s delivered. Credible: frontline workers and HSE leaders trust you because you’ve done the work.

Practical: you focus on what changes behaviour on site, not on paperwork. Energetic and curious: you like learning fast and you’re excited by what technology can do for safety. A team player who makes others better: you help designers and salespeople understand safety rather than gatekeeping it. Direct and no-blame: you give straight answers, talk openly about mistakes, and raise problems early. Comfortable with pace and ambiguity: you can work without a playbook in a fast-growing startup.
