This role exists to strengthen the depth and resilience of Plessey's on-premise infrastructure. We operate a mature estate spanning virtualisation, enterprise identity, networking, and core platform services, alongside continued growth in cloud-based workloads. You will form part of the team responsible for the day-to-day health of this estate, building genuine depth alongside our existing platform expertise as the roadmap progresses.
There is scope to specialise in key areas over time as capability builds across the team. Alongside this, a smaller and growing set of workloads runs in AWS and Azure, which you will support and maintain, working with the team to keep them secure and well managed. Day to day, this includes patching, vulnerability management, and security hardening as part of the wider team, alongside project work to deliver IT solutions that meet business requirements.
