The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist leads full-cycle recruitment for professional, managerial, and senior-level positions within corporate and shared services functions. Building on the full scope of the Talent Acquisition Specialist, this role brings a higher level of consultative influence, strategic sourcing leadership, and cross-functional partnership to the TA team. The Sr. Specialist serves as a resource and mentor to Talent Acquisition Specialists, helps establish and refine team-wide recruiting practices, and takes ownership of complex, hard-to-fill, and high-visibility requisitions.

This role operates within a corporate and shared services recruiting model and does not carry responsibility for plant, operations, or regional hourly hiring.

Essential Duties and Tasks

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for professional, managerial, and senior-level corporate and shared services positions, including sourcing, screening, offer negotiation, and pre-employment coordination.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex, hard-to-fill, and high-priority requisitions simultaneously, consistently delivering quality candidate slates within established time-to-fill targets.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand position specifications, define success profiles, and align on recruitment strategy before launch.
  • Develop and execute tailored recruitment strategies for each search, selecting the right combination of channels, sourcing approaches, and assessment methods to attract top talent.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for candidate experience from first contact through offer acceptance, ensuring every touchpoint is professional, timely, and reflects ProAmpac’s employer brand.
  • Source, screen, assess, and coordinate the selection and offer process to ensure timely hiring outcomes and a strong candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient onboarding transitions for all new hires.

Sourcing & Talent Pipeline

  • Create innovative sourcing strategies to proactively identify and engage passive candidates across corporate and shared services disciplines.
  • Build and maintain durable talent pipelines for recurring and anticipated roles, reducing time-to-fill through proactive pipeline management.
  • Leverage the full suite of sourcing tools and platforms including LinkedIn Recruiter, UKG, Indeed, Boolean search, and referral networks to identify top talent.
  • Lead networking and relationship-building efforts with potential candidates, HR professional communities, and key industry contacts to strengthen ProAmpac’s talent brand.
  • Build and maintain workforce development partnerships (schools, professional associations, staffing partners) to establish sustainable talent pipelines for corporate and shared services functions.
  • Partner with TA Operations on employer branding, social media recruiting campaigns, job postings, and advertisements.

Hiring Manager Partnership & Consultation

Act as a strategic talent advisor to assigned hiring managers, consulting on market conditions, candidate availability, compensation benchmarks, and hiring process best practices.

Develop recruitment strategy and coach and influence hiring teams throughout the selection process, including interview structure, candidate evaluation, and decision-making, ensuring a consistent and legally compliant approach.

Lead recruitment intake meetings independently, facilitating alignment on role requirements, sourcing strategy, interview process, and timeline expectations.

Proactively communicate pipeline status, sourcing activity, and market intelligence to hiring managers, positioning TA as a consultative partner rather than a transactional function.

Mentorship & Team Resource

  • Serve as a day-to-day resource and informal mentor to Talent Acquisition Specialists, providing guidance on sourcing techniques, candidate assessment, offer processes, and navigating complex hiring situations.
  • Share best practices, tools, and lessons learned with the broader TA team to elevate overall team capability and consistency.
  • Support Specialists in developing their consultative skills, hiring manager relationships, and market knowledge.
  • Partner with the Director, Talent Acquisition to identify gaps in team processes or capabilities and contribute to solutions.

Process, Tools & Compliance

  • Maintain rigorous ATS hygiene in UKG, ensuring accurate requisition setup, candidate dispositioning, status updates, and recruiting notes throughout every search.
  • Manage and support internal posting and employee referral processes, ensuring equity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Establish key recruiting metrics for assigned requisitions; leverage data to identify trends, adjust strategies, and report on performance.
  • Ensure all recruiting activity complies with federal, state, and local employment law, company policy, and ProAmpac’s established recruiting process and SOPs.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of team-wide recruiting templates, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with team members, HR Business Partners, and TA Operations to ensure smooth candidate-to-hire transitions and a consistent onboarding experience.
  • Participate in TA team projects, hiring events, recruitment marketing initiatives, and employer branding efforts as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, recommending solutions, and actively participating in TA team initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5–7 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience with demonstrated focus on corporate, shared services, professional, and/or managerial-level roles.
  • Proven ability to manage a complex requisition load with multiple competing priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing advanced sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill and passive-candidate searches.
  • Proven experience influencing and consulting hiring managers and business leaders; comfortable challenging and advising up.
  • Experience acting as a resource or informal mentor to less-experienced recruiters preferred.
  • Experience with social media advertising, employer branding initiatives, and workforce development partnerships.
  • SHRM-CP or equivalent HR certification preferred.
