At Productboard, we're building the first agentic product management system. We're rethinking how product management is done in a world full of AI agents, and how we help our customers build what matters for their audience.
For Spark, our AI agent for product teams, to do real work inside an enterprise organization, it has to earn the right to operate there: what it's allowed to do, on whose behalf, with which model, at what cost, how anyone can tell afterwards, and how far it can go on its own. We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to own the Enterprise AI stack that answers those questions: a hands-on senior IC from an AI-first product company who sets the direction for it, drives the initiatives that cut across teams, and personally carries the hardest product problems at the edge of enterprise AI.
You'll own the enterprise AI harness around Spark: the layer that lets an enterprise put agents to work at scale and trust them with more over time. Permissioning, audit, and limits so agents act within the organization's policies. Bring-your-own-model and model routing so every task runs on the right model at the right cost. Agentic automation so agents run on triggers and schedules across a product organization, not only when asked.
And the control plane that lets a customer see every agent running, what it costs, how well it performs, and how far it's allowed to go on its own. You'll spend real time with enterprise customers, translate what they need into product, and make sure they get value at scale with the governance they require. The rules for how agents operate inside a company are being written right now, and you'll write them into the product.
Our customers are product organizations inside large companies. They need support in how agents are deployed across their organization, and someone to remove the obstacles along the way.
Your responsibilities
Own the Enterprise AI stack. Set the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for permissioning, audit, limits, BYOM, model routing, and agentic automation, the layer every agent runs on and every enterprise customer depends on, and give the teams around you a clear view of where it's going and why.
Turn enterprise needs into product. Spend real time with enterprise customers, from CPOs and product operations to IT, security, and procurement. Understand what it takes to roll agents out to thousands of users, and turn it into capabilities that serve every customer rather than a custom build for one.
Drive key initiatives across teams. Take on the problems bigger than any one squad: agents that respect a customer's permission model in every action, agents running unattended on schedules and triggers, agents delegating to other agents inside a customer's policies, and autonomy that expands as trust is earned. Frame them, align the org, ship, and measure whether it worked.
Shape how we measure success. Define the metrics that show governance is enabling value rather than blocking it: adoption depth across an organization, time from contract to agents doing real work, cost per outcome. Use them to close debates.
Prototype in code by default. When words aren't settling a debate, build the control or the routing policy with AI coding tools and put it in front of customers.
Raise the bar. Be the first user of Spark for your own work, give sales and customer success a crisp articulation of how Spark's agents are governed, and mentor other PMs through pairing and example.
About you
8+ years in product management, all of it hands-on. A senior individual contributor on complex products, with meaningful time in enterprise B2B SaaS, and an AI product used inside large organizations that is visibly better because you owned it.
Expertise in the enterprise AI stack. You've shipped permissioning, audit, admin controls, usage and cost limits, model choice and routing, or agentic automation for an AI product in production. You understand how permissions flow from people to agents, what an auditable agent action looks like, and why rollouts stall at security review, and you have a view on how an enterprise should expand agent autonomy over time.
Enterprise customers are your home turf. You're highly skilled at user research, comfortable in the room with enterprise buyers and their security and IT teams, and you've taken a product through security reviews and multi-thousand-seat rollouts. You know how product organizations really work inside large companies, including the messy parts.
Systems thinker with technical depth. You reason comfortably about identity, permission models, data models, APIs, and model gateways, you understand how LLMs behave in practice, including context, tool use, latency, cost, and non-determinism, and you can hold the whole system in your head while deciding about one part of it.
Agentic products experience. You've shipped products where an agent does real work on the user's behalf, wrestled with trust, control, and quality evaluation, and have real opinions on how agents should be governed inside structured enterprise software, because you use the newest ones the week they ship.
AI-first in how you work. AI agents are how you research, synthesize, analyze, and prototype every day. When a debate needs settling, you build it with Claude Code, Cursor, or whatever fits.
Excellent product instincts. You translate complex systems and governance requirements into simple concepts and elegant experiences, you know that controls people actually use beat controls that merely exist, and you know which parts of the traditional enterprise stack are worth rebuilding for an agentic world.
Founder mentality, low ego. You own outcomes end to end, turn ambiguity into clear decisions, stand up for what's right with challenging stakeholders, and work in the open with designers and engineers as peers.
Strategic communicator. You can turn a finding from a customer's security review into a clear decision for an executive, an engineer, and a GTM team, and each leaves clearer than they arrived.
What's in it for you?
Own the enterprise AI harness of the first agentic product management system, the layer that decides how much agents get to do on their own inside a company, in a category being defined right now.
Real scope, real ambiguity, real accountability, with the mandate and executive partnership to actually move the product.
Operate the way the industry's best AI-first product teams do, with the tooling, velocity, and autonomy to match.
Build for product makers, the most demanding, product-literate audience there is, inside the most demanding organizations there are. When it works on them, it works.
