• The NOC Engineer is responsible for

• Monitor network and Server alerts using NOC tools (24x7 shift support)
• Perform L1 troubleshooting for network, firewall, Windows server related incidents
• Monitor and manage firewalls, VPNs, and security devices
• Respond to alerts related to:
• Firewall health & traffic
• Network latency, packet loss, outages
• Security threats and policy violations
• Perform basic firewall tasks:
• Rule validation and implementation (as per SOP)
• VPN monitoring and basic troubleshooting
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation
• Follow incident, problem, and change management processes
• Maintain accurate ticket updates and shift handover notes
• Ensure SLA adherence and timely incident resolution
• Support routine checks, backups, and compliance monitoring

REQUIRED SKILL SET

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing & Switching
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, NAT
• Hands-on exposure to firewalls such as:

• o Palo Alto
• o Fortinet
• o Cisco ASA / Firepower

• Understanding of:

• o Firewall rules & policies
• o IDS/IPS concepts
• o VPN (Site-to-Site & Remote Access)
• o Network security fundamentals
