Mars United Commerce Powered by Marilyn is a global commerce company that delivers all the solutions clients need to grow their business today and tomorrow. Founded by the late Marilyn Barnett, we’ve become global leaders in four key commerce disciplines – Strategy & Analytics, Digital Commerce, Content & Experiences, and Retail Consultancy – that together form a United Commerce Ecosystem that provides all the expertise clients need to navigate the commerce marketing landscape.
Our 800+ Martians across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Asia exist to drive growth for our people, our clients, and our communities all across the globe. In late 2024 Mars United Commerce became part of the Publicis Groupe.
Overview
We’re looking for a Commerce Media Manager to help leading brands improve how they appear, connect and convert across retailer and ecommerce environments. This is a hands-on role combining campaign delivery, digital shelf optimisation, performance analysis and strategic thinking.
You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work, build trusted client relationships and deepen your expertise across retail media, ecommerce and omnichannel commerce.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do
- Plan and deliver digital commerce and retail media activity aligned with client goals.
- Manage campaigns from briefing and set-up through to activation, optimisation and reporting.
- Improve organic and paid digital shelf visibility, discoverability, content and conversion.
- Monitor campaign performance, budgets and pacing, identifying risks and optimisation opportunities.
- Translate campaign and ecommerce data into clear insights, actions and client recommendations.
- Work directly within retail and media platforms to monitor and optimise performance.
- Brief specialist delivery partners and review outputs to ensure accurate, high-quality execution.
- Collaborate across creative, strategy, commerce and client service disciplines.
- Contribute to broader retail media, shopper marketing and omnichannel commerce planning.
- Use emerging technology and AI-enabled tools to support reporting, analysis and digital commerce insights.
What you’ll bring
We’re interested in your skills and practical experience rather than a single, traditional career path. You may have developed your expertise in an agency, retailer, ecommerce platform, technology business or consumer goods environment.
Ideally, you’ll bring
- Experience in paid search, performance media, ecommerce, retail media or digital commerce.
- Practical knowledge of digital shelf optimisation, retailer search or ecommerce campaign delivery.
- Experience activating and optimising campaigns using performance data.
- Confidence communicating with clients and turning complex information into clear recommendations.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and quality-assurance skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of your work.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and PowerPoint or Google Slides.
- Curiosity about shopper behaviour, retail media innovation, AI and the future of commerce.
- Experience with platforms such as Amazon Ads, Cartology, Coles 360, Citrus or Criteo would be valuable, but you do not need experience across every platform to apply.
