Overview

Help bring a major global rugby partnership to life. Join 160over90’s Sydney team as an Account Manager, Sports Partnerships, connecting global partnership plans with local activation in Australia.

You’ll work across sports sponsorship, partnership marketing and rights management, helping turn contractual assets into activations that support client brand and business objectives. Reporting to a Senior Account Manager based in London, you’ll collaborate with client, agency and rightsholder teams across international markets and time zones.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Support the day-to-day management and activation of a major global rugby partnership, acting as a key on-the-ground contact in Australia.
  • Build relationships with clients, rightsholders, tournament stakeholders and agency partners, keeping global plans aligned with local market needs.
  • Manage partnership rights and assets, including usage planning, approvals, deadlines, tracking and reporting.
  • Coordinate sponsorship activation across ticketing, hospitality, brand integration, content and talent, translating contractual rights into relevant opportunities.
  • Manage project timelines and assigned workstreams across markets and time zones; prepare client presentations, recommendations, status updates and post-activation recaps.
  • Collaborate with strategy, creative, experiential, communications and talent specialists to deliver integrated partnership programmes.
  • Support tournament planning and on-site delivery, including athlete and ambassador activity where relevant, and identify opportunities across rugby and Australian sport and culture.

What you’ll bring

Relevant experience in sports partnerships, sponsorship activation, property management or partnership marketing, ideally 4–6+ years. We’re interested in the skills and experience you bring, including those gained through a non-linear career path.

Experience managing partnership rights, assets and activation workstreams from planning through delivery, with an understanding of rugby or major sports properties.

Client and stakeholder relationship skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, develop client-facing materials and coordinate multiple priorities.

A collaborative, proactive approach, attention to detail and judgement about when to seek senior guidance.

Ability to collaborate across international time zones, including with London-based colleagues, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for tournaments and activations.

Experience that sets you apart

Direct rugby experience is strongly preferred. Experience working across global or regional teams is valuable, as is working with athletes, ambassadors or sports talent, including talent rights, appearances and content activation. An agency, brand or rightsholder background would also be useful
