The Opportunity

• PwC is a leading global practice in Tax, Assurance and Advisory, offering a wide range of professional services to major clients worldwide, and therefore opportunities for newcomers to our organization.
• Our Alternative Delivery Model team, based in Bucharest and Cluj, provides Accounting and Tax Compliance services to clients across the global PwC Network.
• We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant to join the fast-growing team in Cluj.
• In this role you would be working to support PwC firms in Western Europe with their accounting services.

What you will be doing

• Support the team with day-to-day operational activities in the accounting area.
• Work with financial information and documentation, including account statements and other finance-related documents.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation using Excel, Word, and PDF tools.
• Use AI tools and prompting as part of your daily work and explore ways to make processes more efficient.
• Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with financial data.
• Be comfortable with tasks that may be repetitive at times, while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
• Continually learn and share knowledge with other team members.
• Build relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service.
• Manage performance and identify opportunities to improve our products and processes.

What we need from you

• You hold a University degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
• You know basic accountant information (maybe a minimum experience in accounting or internship).
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on execution.
• You have strong English language skills.
• You know Excel - Intermediate to advanced level.
• You are open to use AI in your work and to learn new tech systems (PeBe, Abacus)
• You are eager to dive into new topics and to learn new skills.
• You have advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• You are highly adaptable and open to change.
• You are an organized person and know the importance of the deadline
• Your location: Cluj.
