The role owns the end-to-end consolidation process within Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS), ensuring the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and control of consolidated financial results.

The Director also provides functional leadership across the Oracle EPM platform and serves as the Finance owner of the enterprise Chart of Accounts and related financial metadata across Oracle ERP and EPM. The role partners closely with External Reporting, Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, Corporate and Business-Unit Finance, and IT to provide consistent, reliable, and well-controlled financial information.

Key Responsibilities

Global Consolidation & Financial Reporting

  • Lead the global monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation and close process from trial balance through consolidated financial statements.
  • Own the corporate consolidation process within FCCS, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, ownership changes, noncontrolling interests, acquisitions, dispositions, and consolidation adjustments.
  • Review consolidated results, perform analytical reviews, and ensure appropriate reconciliation and control over reported balances.
  • Assemble the consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and statement of stockholders’ equity.
  • Prepare financial statement support, disclosure schedules, footnote data, and other information required by External Reporting for SEC filings.
  • Support quarterly reviews, annual audits, and maintain a strong SOX control environment over consolidation and financial reporting.

Oracle EPM Platform Leadership

  • Serve as the senior Finance owner for FCCS and provide governance and strategic direction across the Oracle EPM platform.
  • Govern EPM dimensions, hierarchies, consolidation rules, ownership structures, mappings, integrations, and reporting structures.
  • Ensure consistency of financial structures and data across consolidation, planning, reconciliation, and reporting applications.
  • Partner with FP&A, IT, and other application owners to align actual, budget, forecast, and management reporting structures.
  • Establish appropriate change management, access, testing, and control standards and drive automation and continuous improvement across the EPM environment.
  • Chart of Accounts & Financial Metadata Governance
  • Serve as the Finance owner of the enterprise Chart of Accounts and related financial metadata across Oracle ERP and EPM.
  • Establish governance for accounts, entities, business units, cost centers, departments, intercompany structures, reporting hierarchies, and other financial dimensions.
  • Ensure alignment of financial structures across ERP, FCCS, and the broader EPM environment.
  • Evaluate downstream accounting, reporting, planning, tax, treasury, and systems impacts of metadata changes.
  • Maintain controlled mappings, hierarchies, documentation, and change-management standards while driving simplification and standardization of financial master data.

Acquisition Integration

Lead the financial integration of acquired businesses from transaction close through migration to the company’s Oracle EPM platform and assists with future integrations into the company’s ERP system, Oracle Fusion.

Establish and govern the mapping of acquired-company Charts of Accounts and financial structures into FCCS, enabling timely consolidation and corporate reporting while businesses continue operating on legacy ERP systems. Ensure acquired-company financial data is appropriately mapped, reconciled, controlled, and incorporated into consolidated results.

Support eventual migration to the company’s Oracle ERP environment by partnering heavily with the IT ERP team. This includes Chart of Accounts alignment, financial data conversion, testing, reconciliation, and transition from interim FCCS mappings to the company’s standard ERP/EPM architecture.

Enterprise Reporting & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a central provider of authoritative consolidated financial information to corporate stakeholders, including:
  • External Reporting: Consolidated financial statements, disclosures, footnotes, SEC reporting data, and financial statement support.

Controls, Transformation & Leadership
