About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst (Reporting Focus) to join our Performance and Data team within Corporate Services. You will play a key role in supporting operational services by developing, maintaining and delivering accurate and meaningful reports that help inform decision-making across the organisation.

You will be the main point of contact for reporting queries, providing technical expertise and helping colleagues understand and make effective use of data. Working with systems such as Power BI, SQL and Excel, you will analyse information, identify trends and provide insights that support service improvement and organisational performance.

This is an opportunity to use your analytical skills to make a real difference, helping Waythrough develop a stronger data-driven approach and deliver high-quality services.

Key duties

  • Develop, run and maintain a suite of reports to support operational delivery and organisational performance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for reporting and analysis queries, providing technical advice and support to colleagues.
  • Analyse and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for service improvement.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reporting tools, ensuring consistency across services.
  • Manage day-to-day reporting requests and tickets, ensuring responses meet agreed service level requirements.
  • Work with case management systems, including SystmOne, ILLY, Theseus and Halo, to produce accurate and meaningful reports.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Performance and Data team to improve reporting processes and systems.
  • Support new contract mobilisations by helping establish and implement reporting requirements.
  • Deliver training and guidance to colleagues to improve their understanding and use of reports.
  • Present findings, insights and recommendations to stakeholders, making complex information accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.

About you

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in using data to improve performance and support decision-making. You will be confident working with reporting systems and Microsoft packages, particularly Power BI, SQL and Excel, with experience of analysing data and producing meaningful reports.

You will also bring

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of reporting best practices and experience working with reporting suites.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience producing, maintaining and developing reports, dashboards or data visualisations.
  • The ability to work with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to explain data and findings to a range of audiences.
  • Experience providing training, guidance and support to colleagues using reporting systems.
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • You will be collaborative, proactive and keen to continuously develop your skills, sharing our commitment to making a positive difference through the work we do.
