- Own the front-end development approach, coding standards, component strategy, branching model, review practices and definition of done.
- Design scalable application architecture, component boundaries, routing, state management, data access and micro-frontend patterns where appropriate.
- Remain hands-on with implementation, code review, complex defect resolution and performance optimisation.
- Guide integration with REST or GraphQL services, authentication, analytics, content management platforms and third-party libraries.
- Establish responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and design-system implementation practices.
- Coordinate CI/CD automation, environment configuration, quality gates, versioning and release readiness.
- Validate estimates and technical approaches, ensuring plans include appropriate testing, security and risk mitigation.
- Identify technical or delivery risks early, propose options and escalate quickly when required.
- Coach front-end leads and senior engineers through architecture reviews, design governance and structured technical guidance.
- Serve as a trusted technical adviser for senior clients, programme leadership, product, UX, back-end and QA teams.
- Lead front-end contributions to discovery, solutioning, proposals, technical roadmaps and practice initiatives.
