We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

We are seeking an experienced Radar Cross Section (RCS) Engineer to support the testing, measurement, analysis, and signature‑reduction efforts for advanced aerospace and defense systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RCS chamber operations, data processing, scattering analysis, and a solid understanding of radar system fundamentals. This role requires hands-on technical capability, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in a secure environment.

This is an onsite role, located in McKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do

  • RCS Test Execution and Chamber Configuration
  • Configure the RCS chamber, measurement system, and associated data acquisition tools to support program requirements.
  • Install and/or prepare test articles to ensure measurement integrity and eliminate unintended scattering sources.
  • Configure radar systems to collect requested data in accordance with design engineer specifications.
  • Prepare and optimize the chamber environment to minimize unwanted scattering effects.
  • Perform system calibration using standard calibration targets such as squat cylinders.
  • Data Processing and Analysis
  • Utilize processing codes and tools to extract critical results including PCUMs and multiple plot formats.
  • Validate collected data to confirm accuracy, repeatability, and reliability.
  • Analyze ISAR images and other data products to identify and interpret scattering mechanisms and source locations.
  • Radar System Knowledge and Specialized Experience
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of pulsed IF radar system operation and associated signal characteristics.
  • Apply knowledge of scattering physics and materials/treatments used to reduce target signature.
  • System Troubleshooting and Technical Support
  • Diagnose, isolate, and resolve measurement system anomalies or failures.

Team & Security Environment

  • Work collaboratively within a team of engineers, technicians, and program stakeholders.
  • Operate within a classified environment, including Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF).
  • Interface with external partners, vendors, and government customers as required.
  • Utilize MS Office tools for reporting, documentation, and communication.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree or a minimum of 8 years’ prior relevant experience, to include any combination of the following:
  • Experience with chamber setup, radar configuration, and RCS data collection.
  • Experience with scattering phenomena and radar measurement systems.

Experience in classified environments

  • Experience with processing software such as Knowbell, MATLAB, and SABER.
  • Experience operating or maintaining robotic positioning systems.
  • Experience with Resonant Adaptable Zonal Radar (RAZR) systems.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of signature-reduction materials and application techniques.
  • Experience with robotic systems used in RCS measurement environments.
  • Familiarity with RAZR systems or advanced radar test architectures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or government-regulated environments.
