SAIC is seeking a Software Tester to support the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate team located onsite at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
Note: This is a 100% remote position
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and execute test cases for web applications, APIs, and supporting database components
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing following Agile software development principles
- Document test results, track defects, and verify resolution through collaboration with developers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous process improvement
- Validate integration with Microsoft SQL databases and verify data integrity across systems
- Support test automation initiatives where applicable
Required Education
- BS degree and two (2) years of practical experience; six (6) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree
Required Skills
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, and database-driven systems
- Familiarity with Agile software development processes
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and defect tracking processes
- Experience with test management or defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL (ability to query databases for validation)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to continuously improve testing practices and technical skill sets
