Do you enjoy turning customer insights, manufacturing knowledge, and technical product understanding into clear direction and innovation for a global product portfolio? Here’s an opportunity to work close to both the market and technology, shaping solutions that support customers and influence the future of our Turning offering.
About the job
You play a key part in strengthening the Grades product portfolio within the Turning offering. Your technical understanding, business mindset, and customer perspective come together as you connect market needs with product development and business priorities. Working closely with customers, manufacturing, sales application specialists, product developers, R&D and other key stakeholders, you also collaborate with product project teams and project owners to support successful product development and delivery.
Job responsibilities
- Contribute to the Grades portfolio strategy and help shape the future offer direction.
- Develop and share application and product knowledge through training, demonstrations and communication for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor competitors and analyze the competitive landscape for products within the portfolio.
- Ensure product specifications meet customer demands, with options and pricing remaining aligned.
- Develop and communicate clear customer value propositions.
- Contribute to new product development, from initiating and defining requirements to managing field testing, and support new grade introductions with technical application material and sales strategy.
Location and flexibility
The position offers flexibility within Europe, preferably close to one of our sites. We support a hybrid way of working, combining office presence with remote work.
Your profile
You have a strong understanding of technical applications and know how to translate insights into structured product development work. Experience in product management, technical sales, product development, or international business strategy helps you succeed, and you’re comfortable collaborating across a broad stakeholder network.
Your background includes
Deep understanding of turning applications, concepts, customer component processes, machining strategies, and customer manufacturing challenges.
Good knowledge of customer needs, manufacturing components, and materials.
Experience in product portfolio work, manufacturing, lifecycle management, or product development.
Understanding of project models and structured product project work, combined with the ability to translate insights into clear requirements.
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written; presentation skills are preferable. Experience within metal cutting, particularly turning applications and grades, is highly valued.
You’re structured, collaborative, and motivated by working close to both people and products. Building relationships across countries and functions comes naturally, and you represent the area of turning grades with curiosity, ownership and a customer-focused mindset. By connecting technical details with the bigger picture, you help move ideas forward and turn knowledge into value for customers.
