Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Oracle Apps DBA to join our Enterprise Database Infrastructure team. This position is a unique opportunity for a mid-level professional looking to work on product based organization as an Application and database administration.

The successful candidate will work directly under the guidance of our Senior Oracle Applications Architects and DBAs to support our critical enterprise Applications and database environments.

Mandatory Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical discipline.

Availability: Ability to work in Shifts with occasional flexibility for planned system maintenance windows.

Key Responsibilities

• Learning & Development: Participate actively in structured technical training covering Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), database architectures, and auxiliary systems.
• Monitoring & Health Checks: Assist in daily system monitoring, verifying database integrity, reviewing error logs, and ensuring routine backup jobs complete successfully.
• Access Control & Auditing: Help manage user access provisions, role assignments, and password policies in strict accordance with corporate security standards.
• Documentation & Compliance: Assist in maintaining operational run books and compiling system logs/evidence for quarterly SOX compliance audits.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, document, and escalate database performance or connectivity issues under the supervision of senior team members.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

• 4 to 6 years of experience in Oracle Apps Database Administration (11i and R12 applications with Database 11g & 12c).
• Strong working experience in monitoring, performance tuning, and production support for high-transaction, large-scale RDBMS Oracle databases.
• Expertise across major technology stack components, including Database, iAS, Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Java, Enterprise Manager, SOA, WebLogic, and JVM.
• Hands-on experience with ADPatch, AutoConfig, and other AD utilities.
• Proven track record in database installations, upgrades, and DB migrations.
• Direct experience with ASM, Data Guard, Disaster Recovery solutions, and database backup strategies.
• Ability to develop Shell scripts for UNIX administrative tasks, database task scheduling, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of Linux commands for managing database and application services.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation (e.g., inventory, installation procedures).
• Familiarity with RAC is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work on Cloud Platforms.
• Readiness to work in shifts and provide weekend on-call support.
• Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
