Schneider Electric Manufacturing

Senior Specialist, Offer Lifecycle Procurement

Montréal, Canada In person Full-time

As Schneider Electric's Digital Energy Solutions business continues to grow, procurement plays an important role in shaping the technology, sourcing and partnership decisions behind our offers. From early product development through launch and lifecycle management, these decisions contribute to how we bring new technologies to market while maintaining competitiveness and supply resilience.

We are looking for an Offer Procurement Leader to join our global Digital Energy procurement team in Montréal. You will lead procurement for a global portfolio of strategic offers and projects, covering both in-house manufacturing and external sourcing. Working closely with Business, R&D and Product teams, you will contribute to decisions that shape how our products are designed, sourced and brought to market.

Your role will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will develop sourcing strategies for electronics-intensive offers, challenge technical choices and influence Make / Buy / Partner decisions. You will also manage relationships with suppliers and strategic partners, working alongside Schneider Electric's global Supply Chain, Category and Regional organizations to address cost, quality, innovation, supply resilience and time-to-market.

You will contribute to a more data-driven and AI-enabled procurement environment, using reliable data, digital capabilities and collaboration to support informed decisions and effective execution. Working closely with technical and business teams, you will help bring procurement expertise into decisions throughout the offer lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

Lead Procurement Across the Offer Lifecycle

Lead end-to-end procurement across the offer lifecycle, from early exploration and product specifications through sourcing, supplier selection, contracting, launch, ramp-up and lifecycle management.

Develop sourcing strategies for electronics-intensive offers, including semiconductors, printed circuit boards (PCB/PCBA), embedded systems, connectivity solutions, power supplies and sensors, working with electronics manufacturing and design partners (EMS/ODM).

Work closely with R&D and Product teams to challenge technical requirements and design choices, improving standardization, manufacturability, cost competitiveness and long-term product performance.

Anticipate and address supply risks, including component availability, obsolescence and single-source dependencies, while developing resilience strategies and alternative sourcing plans.

Build Strategic Partnerships & Influence Decisions

Develop and manage relationships with semiconductor suppliers, electronics manufacturing partners, design houses, technology providers and co-development partners.

Shape partnership agreements covering commercial terms, intellectual property, development responsibilities, tooling and development costs, industrialization, quality, cybersecurity and lifecycle support.

Bring supplier-market, technology and cost insights into early product discussions to influence design choices, sourcing strategies and Make / Buy / Partner decisions.

Collaborate with Business, R&D, Supply Chain, Category and Regional teams to align priorities, address challenges and facilitate decisions across functions, without direct authority.

Strengthen Data-Driven Procurement & Collaboration

  • Use procurement data, analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve market intelligence, cost transparency, supplier visibility, risk assessment and portfolio decisions.
  • Promote responsible use of digital tools and AI, ensuring data quality, confidentiality and appropriate human oversight.
  • Strengthen collaboration across teams by sharing priorities, performance indicators, risks, decisions and lessons learned to support effective execution.

What you bring

  • A background in procurement, strategic sourcing or a related technical field, ideally within an electronics or technology-driven environment.
  • Good understanding of electronic technologies, supplier markets and the business considerations behind sourcing decisions.
  • Hands-on experience managing cross-functional projects, supplier relationships and negotiations, with the ability to drive initiatives through execution.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution, manage priorities and navigate complex challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence decisions and challenge ideas constructively.
  • A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
  • Proficiency in French and English.
