What will you do as a Senior Applications and Automation Developer at Sealed Air?

As a Senior Applications and Automation Developer, you will design, build, deploy, and support applications, workflows, integrations, data products, and automations that enable Commercial Excellence across Sealed Air’s Food Division. You will partner with business and technology teams to translate complex and evolving needs into practical, scalable solutions. Working in a collaborative matrix environment, you will evaluate technical options, explain tradeoffs, and turn agreed direction into reliable delivery. You will also help transform urgent or ad hoc business needs into sustainable solutions that can grow, integrate, and evolve over time.

Why do we need you?

Partner with process owners, end users, and cross-functional teams to define business problems, desired outcomes, requirements, constraints, dependencies, data needs, and measures of value.

Evaluate solution options based on business value, urgency, effort, risk, maintainability, scalability, and fit with approved platforms, clearly communicating recommendations and technical tradeoffs.

Design and deliver prototypes, minimum viable products, business applications, workflows, automations, approval processes, reports, scripts, data transformations, and API-based integrations.

Build secure and maintainable solutions incorporating data models, business rules, validation, role-based access, audit trails, logging, monitoring, exception handling, and recovery processes.

Integrate solutions with ERP, CRM, collaboration, content management, analytics, pricing, customer service, and other enterprise platforms in partnership with IT and system owners.

Plan and execute testing, deployment, production support, monitoring, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, documentation, user enablement, and continuous improvement.

Design solutions and reusable components that can be extended, scaled, migrated, or incorporated into larger enterprise platforms while preserving data, controls, documentation, and business continuity.

Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, errors, fragmented tools, process complexity, and slow handoffs while applying emerging automation, data, AI, and software-engineering capabilities where they create measurable business value.

What do you need to be successful?

Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, Dataverse, Azure services, or comparable application and automation platforms.

Working proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting or general-purpose programming language such as Python or JavaScript.

Strong knowledge of application development, workflow automation, data transformation, debugging, and maintainable solution design.

Experience designing and integrating APIs, data models, system integrations, identity and access controls, and enterprise application environments.

Knowledge of version control, environment separation, testing methodologies, deployment practices, monitoring, production support, and secure development principles.

Ability to translate complex or changing business requirements into practical technical solutions and connect development work to commercial or operational value.

Familiarity with ERP, CRM, customer service, pricing, content management, business intelligence, cloud services, CI/CD, DevOps tooling, and solution architecture.

Knowledge of generative AI, machine learning, intelligent document processing, or natural-language technologies applied to business workflows with appropriate governance and human oversight.

Ability to communicate technical concepts, solution options, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders in a collaborative matrix environment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and urgent business needs while balancing speed, user value, quality, controls, scalability, and long-term supportability.

Availability to travel up to 10%.

Compensation

$128,455. $128,455 USD/year
