As Seneca continues to strengthen its leadership in artificial intelligence within the postsecondary sector, we are investing in modern enterprise applications, cloud platforms, data capabilities and AI-enabled solutions that support teaching, learning and institutional operations.

We are looking for a technology leader who can navigate complex enterprise environments, build trusted partnerships and deliver practical, scalable solutions that advance Seneca's strategic priorities. Reporting to the CIO, the Director, Enterprise Software Solutions leads the teams responsible for enterprise applications, systems integration, business intelligence, application development and production support. You will shape Seneca’s information solutions strategy, modernize its digital environment and help ensure technology investments improve teaching, learning, institutional services and student success.

Responsibilities Set a clear direction for enterprise applications and information solutions, with practical roadmaps, priorities and measures of success. Work with academic and administrative leaders to understand the real business problem, clarify essential requirements and design solutions that fit Seneca’s needs, resources and budget. Provide hands-on technical leadership across a complex enterprise application portfolio, contributing directly to architecture, solution design and problem-solving while guiding teams and translating technical decisions for institutional leaders.

Lead major technology initiatives from planning and vendor selection through implementation and continuous improvement, while overseeing budgets, procurement and delivery outcomes. Oversee a complex portfolio of more than 100 enterprise and custom applications, including student, learning, CRM, finance, human resources, analytics, cloud and AI solutions, while working directly with major technology providers and maximizing internal capability.

Improve services through process redesign, automation, analytics and cloud technologies, using existing platforms effectively before adding new technology. Balance innovation with security, privacy, accessibility, reliability, cost, risk and long-term support needs. Build strategic relationships with technology partners and vendors, ensuring solutions deliver value, reliability and sustainable long-term support. Develop a high-performing team by mentoring technical professionals, building internal capability and fostering a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You Bring to Seneca Progressive leadership experience in information solutions, enterprise applications or solution architecture within a complex organization. Strong technical depth and a willingness to remain actively involved in architecture, design and delivery within a lean, multidisciplinary environment. A track record of turning complex business and technology challenges into practical, maintainable solutions that deliver measurable value.

Experience designing integrated enterprise solutions and leading modernization initiatives from planning through implementation and support. Knowledge of application architecture, systems integration, data and analytics, cloud services and modern delivery practices, with hands-on experience applying or deploying enterprise AI capabilities using solutions from major cloud and AI technology providers. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets, procurement, contracts and strategic vendor relationships.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain technical choices clearly and work effectively with executives, business leaders and technical teams. Experience with Salesforce, PeopleSoft, Blackboard, Microsoft Azure, Oracle databases and business intelligence tools is an asset. Comparable enterprise technology experience will be considered. TOGAF, PMP, Microsoft or Oracle certifications are welcome but not required.

A graduate degree in information technology, computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience. Seneca supports flexible and inclusive work practices, recognizing diverse leadership styles and experiences. We recognize that leadership experience may be gained through a variety of career paths, including community-based work, sector transitions, or lived experience alongside formal roles.

A combination of education and experience will be considered.
