Salesforce Engineer | IC2

Glasgow, United Kingdom Hybrid Full-time

Location: Glasgow

At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

This position is considered hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Glasgow office locations and should expect to be in office 3 days a week.

Our CRM ecosystem is foundational to delivering exceptional experiences for customers, partners, and internal teams. Salesforce sits at its core, spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, OMS, and B2B/B2C Commerce, powered by Agentforce across the platform. The Professional Commerce team builds the Salesforce capabilities that help Sonos dealers and partners do business with us. As a Salesforce Engineer, you will work on the B2B Dealer Portal and the partner workflows behind it — from onboarding to quoting — turning defined business needs into tested, maintainable solutions alongside product owners, functional partners, and senior engineers.

What You'll Do

  • Build and enhance dealer-facing features in the B2B Dealer Portal, including ordering, order visibility, and account self-service.
  • Support partner workflows in Salesforce, including onboarding, tier management, deal registration, and quoting.
  • Design, develop, and configure Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, and standard platform features.
  • Implement and support scoped Agentforce and AI-enabled capabilities for dealer and partner experiences, following established designs and validating behavior with senior engineers and functional partners.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, including analysis, implementation, unit testing, validation, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and senior engineers to clarify requirements and contribute to technical design aligned with the development team.
  • Resolve issues within established Salesforce processes, escalating complex problems when appropriate, and troubleshoot application and integration issues with operations teams, the Salesforce Platform team, and external partners.
  • Support data quality, system reliability, and platform performance through careful implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of partner reporting and integrations.
  • Follow established engineering standards, including code review, documentation, development workflows, and Salesforce environment, deployment, and change management practices.
  • Continue to build Salesforce platform knowledge and contribute to team learning and improvement.

What You'll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Approximately two years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating the ability to deliver scoped Salesforce changes.
  • Foundational understanding of the Salesforce platform and standard data model, including Accounts, Contacts, Leads, and Opportunities.
  • Working familiarity with Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components; experience with Java or C# is also relevant.
  • Basic understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, version control, debugging, and unit testing.
  • Ability to understand business processes, apply judgment within established technical patterns, troubleshoot issues, and seek guidance when needed.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills across technical and business teams.
  • Qualified applicants must be able to work from the office 3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce Flow and other declarative automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Agentforce or experience supporting Salesforce AI-enabled features.
  • Understanding of B2B commerce or partner workflows, such as ordering, quoting, or onboarding.
  • Experience with Salesforce B2B Commerce, Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, or CPQ.
  • Exposure to REST APIs and integrating Salesforce with external systems.
  • Experience using Git or another version control system in a team environment.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I, Platform Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Agentforce Specialist.
  • Project, internship, or early-career experience contributing to Salesforce implementations or enhancements.
