About Soulside Soulside AI is transforming how behavioral health organizations operate, unlocking massive efficiency gains through AI. Our platform cuts documentation time by 80%—turning 3+ hours of daily paperwork into 30 minutes—so these organizations can focus resources on patient care, growth, and innovation. The impact is immediate: better outcomes, reduced costs, and the ability to serve more patients without adding administrative overhead.
The role We're looking for a senior product designer to work with us across several projects. You'll partner directly with product and engineering to take problems from fuzzy to shipped. You'll talk to users, shape the flows, design the UI, and hand off work that engineers can build with confidence. This role is for someone who doesn't need hand-holding. You'll often get a problem statement, not a spec. We expect you to ask the right questions, push back when something doesn't make sense, and come back with a considered solution.
What you'll do - Own design for whole projects. Take features and products from discovery through high-fidelity design and delivery, often on more than one project at a time. - Run user research. Plan and run interviews and usability tests with clinicians, billing staff, and administrators, often alongside our Customer Success team. Turn what you learn into clear design decisions. - Think like a product person. Work with the PM to frame problems, map workflows, challenge assumptions, and make smart scope trade-offs. - Design complex, data-heavy interfaces.
These include dense tables, dashboards, multi-step workflows, complex forms, and review/approval queues. They need to stay clear and fast to use. - Design AI-powered experiences. Shape how users review, trust, edit, and act on AI-generated output such as summaries, suggestions, and auto-filled fields. - Build and evolve our design system. Create and maintain reusable components, patterns, and guidelines so the product stays consistent as it grows. - Prototype and hand off.
Build interactive prototypes to test ideas, and give engineers clear specs, states, and edge cases. Stay involved through implementation. What we're looking for Must have - 4+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 years designing B2B SaaS products - A portfolio that shows end-to-end work: research, problem framing, workflows, and polished UI, not just final screens - Strong interaction design skills for complex, data-heavy, workflow-driven applications - Hands-on experience running user research and turning insights into design decisions - Experience building or contributing to a design system - Expert-level Figma skills, including components, variants, auto layout, and prototyping - Comfortable working independently and asynchronously: you manage your own time, communicate proactively, and keep multiple projects moving - Uses AI tools in your own workflow (for example Figma AI, v0, Lovable, Claude, or ChatGPT) to explore, prototype, and move faster Strongly preferred - Experience designing for healthcare, ideally behavioral health, EHR/EMR, practice management, or revenue cycle/billing - Experience designing AI-powered features (human-in-the-loop review, confidence and uncertainty, explainability) - Familiarity with designing around sensitive data (PHI, role-based access, audit trails) Nice to have - Comfortable with front-end basics (HTML/CSS, React/Tailwind) or code-based prototyping - Experience working with early-stage startups or small, fast-moving teams How we work - Project-based engagements.
Each project has a clear scope, deliverables, and timeline that we agree on up front. - Async-first. We work in IST. Most collaboration happens through Figma, Slack, and docs. - Scheduled customer time. A few pre-scheduled calls each week with customers and Customer Success for research, feedback, and validation. - Direct access. You'll work directly with product leadership and engineering, with no layers in between. How to apply Please send: 1.
Your portfolio, with 2–3 case studies of B2B SaaS work (healthcare if you have it). For each one, tell us about the problem, your process, the decisions and trade-offs you made, and the outcome. 2. A short note on the most complex workflow or data-heavy interface you've designed, and what made it hard. 3. Your availability (hours per week, and when you could start) and your rate (hourly or per project). Portfolios under NDA are welcome.
We're happy to walk through them on a call.
