South East Water Energy

Leakage Data Analyst

Basingstoke, United Kingdom +3 Hybrid Full-time

Location: Snodland, Kent

Summary

Are you a data whiz who loves solving real-world problems? Do you want to play a critical role in tackling one of the biggest challenges in the water industry?

We are looking for a Leakage Data Analyst to join our Leakage Data Team in Snodland. The candidate will also be expected to spend 1-2 days a week in the Kent regional office near Detling.

This is an opportunity to apply your analytical expertise to complex and meaningful work. Leakage reduction is a fundamental part of South East Water’s overall strategy, and this role is integral to providing the analytical information that drives our strategic goals.

This role would work closely with the Kent regional leakage operations team to help target leakage using all available data. Alongside targeting of leakage, the successful candidate would be expected to perform area specific deep dives and investigations to help improve our overall understanding of the network to ensure more efficient identification of leakage. There will also be an element of regulatory reporting making this a great opportunity to begin a career in the water industry.

The Leakage Data team is expanding, meaning you’ll work with a wide range of data on exciting projects, including innovative techniques like satellite surveys, drone surveys, and dark fibre. We are dedicated to continuous improvement of our processes to ensure all components of the water balance are as accurate as possible.

You will need to be proficiency in the use of data manipulation tools. A bonus would be understanding of water networks but this can be learnt within the role. If you are driven by challenging projects and providing high-quality, granular insight, you will find this role both rewarding and crucial to ensuring we remain compliant and meet our team objectives.
