Fullstack (PHP + React)

Spotware Systems is looking for a Fullstack Developer (PHP + React) to modernize the backend of a payment cashier and build the frontends of a consumer trading client area and broker back-office products — working on a strict design system with AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Reengineer the existing PHP backend of the payment cashier into a market-ready product — refactoring and extending it, not rewriting from scratch.
• Build and maintain the React frontends of the products — a consumer trading client area and broker-facing back-office tools.
• Assemble screens from a shared component library, and grow that library together with the product designer.
• Work from the analyst’s specifications and agree API contracts with the backend developers.
• Estimate work, plan it with the team, and deliver against the agreed plans.
• Hold release quality together with QA.
• Use AI-assisted development as the default way of working on both the PHP and React sides.
• Maintain the current versions of the products until the new ones fully replace them.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production development with strong PHP — comfortable working inside an existing codebase, modernizing it, and bringing it to product quality.
• Solid React (TypeScript welcome) — consumer web apps and data-heavy admin interfaces built from a component library.
• API and integration literacy — REST APIs, webhooks, and event flows; exposure to payment integrations is a strong plus.
• Design-system discipline — works within a strict component system and extends it deliberately, instead of producing one-off screens.
• AI-native development — uses AI coding tools as the default way of producing and reviewing code, with the judgment to know their limits.
• Domain exposure to fintech, payments, trading, or brokerage is a plus.
• Soft skills: self-sufficient and reliable owner of their area; prioritizes well, communicates trade-offs early, and escalates before deadlines slip.
