Markets Intelligence & Strategic Insights (MISI) is the business unit within the Chief Business Office at State Street Investment Management that houses our Business Strategy & Planning team. The business unit supports the business in reporting & analytics, data infrastructure/ quality, sales enablement as well as Strategy and Planning. The vision of the MISI team is to be an indispensable information resource for State Street Investment Management to help achieve desired goals and objectives.

Our mission is to use information to provide a reliable foundation for decision-making, strategy development, opportunity realization and targeted business improvements. This role will serve as a Senior Business Strategy Analyst, supporting the EMEA region.

As the EMEA Senior Business Strategy Analyst, Officer you will:

Support development of EMEA strategic initiatives, providing analytical input on growth opportunities, market entry, and business optimisation

Partner with regional business and distribution teams to contribute to the annual planning process, including product focus areas and tracking performance

Work closely with Markets Intelligence & Analytics teams to deliver and enhance management reporting, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights

Analyse EMEA market trends, client behaviour, and competitor positioning, leveraging internal and external data sources

Develop data-driven insights and materials (presentations, briefings) to support senior stakeholder decision-making

These skills will help you succeed in this role

• Strong experience in the asset management industry or related Financial Services experience (5–7 years)
• Operated in business strategy analyst role or equivalent at a large scale asset management organization or at a Top-Tier Strategy or Financial Services Consulting firm
• Experience supporting business planning, strategy projects, or market analysis
• Strong analytical skillset with ability to translate data into clear insights and structured outputs
• Proactive, detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple workstreams and take ownership of deliverables
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint skills; experience building slides for senior audiences
• Understanding/ Desire to develop an understanding of the global ETF landscape and SSGA’s business lines across ETFs, Cash and Retirement
