About Strac
Strac is data security for the AI era. We stop sensitive data (PII, PHI, secrets, confidential files) from leaking through the tools employees actually use: AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, MCP servers and AI agents, Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, browsers and endpoints. One platform for DLP and DSPM across AI, MCP, SaaS, endpoint and browser, with real remediation (redact, revoke, delete, block) instead of another dashboard.
We're Y Combinator-backed and in production at 75+ mid-market and enterprise customers including companies like Databricks, UiPath and Crypto.com. We're an Anthropic partner integrating with the Claude Compliance API, and a Slack, Notion, Zendesk and Intercom partner. The founder is an ex-Amazon Principal Engineer who built Amazon's payment security infrastructure.
The role
You'll be Strac's first dedicated customer success hire. Today the CEO and the engineers run onboarding, support and renewals themselves. You'll take that over and own the customer from signed contract onward: onboarding, integration setup, policy tuning, support, renewals and expansion for security and IT teams at 75+ companies. You'll work directly with the CEO and the engineering team every day.
What you'll do
- Onboard new customers: connect Slack, Google Workspace, M365, Zendesk, AI tools, endpoints and browsers, set up DLP/DSPM policies, and get them to value fast
- Own the customer Slack channels: triage questions, reproduce issues, debug integrations, and hand the engineering team a clean ticket (not a vague complaint)
- Run renewals and find expansion: more seats, more connectors, endpoint and browser DLP, AI data security
- Build the playbooks and automation (AI agents, docs, health scores) that let one person manage 75+ accounts
- Turn customer pain into product input the engineers can act on
Who we're looking for
- Former startup founder or founding team member, or the first customer success / technical account manager / solutions engineer hire at an early-stage B2B SaaS startup
- Technical: you can read API docs, debug an OAuth or SSO integration, understand how DLP policies and detectors work, and talk credibly to a security engineer. Having worked at a security, DLP, DSPM or compliance company is a strong plus
- Extreme ownership. You don't escalate problems; you solve them and then build the system so they don't recur
- Commercially minded: comfortable owning renewals and expansion numbers, not just NPS
- Clear writer, fast mover, uses AI tools aggressively for support, docs and ops
Compensation
Competitive base plus variable on renewals/expansion, and meaningful early equity. Remote in the US.
Process
One 30-minute call with the CEO, one working session on a real customer scenario, references, offer. We move in days, not weeks.
