Job Description
- Develop and Communicate Segment Expectations for Stress Testing Reporting
- Develop clear, practical reporting templates for the enterprise-wide stress testing (EWST) and OSFI Macro Stress Test (MST) program, helping segments explain financial results, key assumptions, and drivers of performance under stress in a consistent, decision-useful manner.
- Craft pre-cycle guidance that translates reporting objectives into clear expectations, timelines, and deliverables. Engage stress testing participants across the Bank to establish a shared understanding of requirements and build productive working relationships.
- Lead the Development of Senior Executive and Board Reporting
- Lead the development of concise, compelling, and high-quality EWST/MST reports and presentations for senior executives and Board committees.
- Apply financial reporting expertise and analytical judgement to distill complex quantitative results and qualitative inputs into a clear enterprise narrative. Explain the principal drivers of stressed earnings, balance sheet, and capital outcomes, highlighting material differences across scenarios and segments and their implications for the Bank.
- Partner with segment teams and other stress testing contributors to deepen the explanation of results and connect business-level impacts to the enterprise picture. Develop a broad understanding of how the Bank works—including its business models, earnings drivers, risk exposures, and financial interdependencies.
- Support Critical Regulatory Reporting Deliverables
- Support high-profile regulatory deliverables, including the OSFI MST onsite presentation and the Regulation YY submission to the Federal Reserve Board (FRB). Bring together contributions from stress testing partners to articulate results and supporting explanations clearly, building experience in regulatory communication and enterprise-level financial reporting.
- Develop clear, accurate, and well-supported reports tailored to regulatory audiences, maintaining consistency between reported results and the accompanying narrative. Work with contributors to resolve reporting questions and communicate material assumptions and qualifications with precision.
- Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in finance, an advanced quantitative discipline, economics, or a related field.
- CPA, MBA, CFA, or another professional designation is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience, with progressively increasing levels of operational and/or team management responsibility.
- Knowledge of stress analysis, capital markets, credit, asset/liability management principles, and banking products.
- Demonstrated strong project management capabilities.
- Knowledge of the Bank's financial and management reporting infrastructure and a strong accounting background.
- Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
