Contract Recruiter

Position Overview

Modigent is seeking a Contract Recruiter to support high-volume and professional hiring needs across our operating companies and corporate functions. This role will partner closely with Talent Acquisition team members and hiring managers to identify, attract, and hire qualified candidates for skilled trades, construction, service, operational, and corporate positions.

The ideal candidate is a proactive recruiter who can effectively manage multiple requisitions, deliver a strong candidate experience, and help move hiring processes forward in a fast-paced environment. We are open to candidates with varying levels of recruiting experience, provided they demonstrate strong sourcing, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for assigned requisitions, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer support.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition team members and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, candidate profiles, and recruitment priorities.
• Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, employee referrals, networking, direct outreach, and other recruiting channels.
• Screen applicants and assess qualifications against position requirements.
• Present qualified candidates and provide recruiting insights to hiring managers.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Assist with offer preparation and hiring coordination.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Ensure recruiting activities comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, and hiring procedures.
• Support recruiting events, talent pipeline initiatives, and other Talent Acquisition projects as needed.
• Collaborate with the broader Talent Acquisition team to improve recruiting processes and drive hiring results.

Required

• Recruiting experience in agency, corporate, contract, or staffing environments.
• Experience sourcing and screening candidates across multiple position types and skill levels.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, or other recruiting tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business applications.

Preferred

• Experience recruiting for skilled trades, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical construction, service, field operations, or similar industries.
• Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed hiring.
• Knowledge of recruiting best practices, employment regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in a high-volume recruiting environment.

Work Environment

• Remote or hybrid work arrangement, depending on business needs.
• Primarily computer and phone-based work.
• Occasional travel may be required for hiring events, recruiting initiatives, or business meetings.

Contract Details

• Contract engagement with anticipated workload based on hiring demand.
• Flexible experience level considered; compensation will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated recruiting capability.
