Make an Impact Across Our Growing Family of Brands

Are you a strategic marketing professional who knows how to turn industry insights, complex information, and business development needs into powerful sales tools?

The Townsend Company is seeking a Strategic Marketing & Sales Enablement Manager to help strengthen how our businesses communicate their capabilities, differentiate themselves in the marketplace, and support customer relationships.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of Marketing, Business Development, and business strategy. You'll collaborate with leaders across our family of brands to develop meaningful sales-enablement resources, identify market trends, and ensure our customer-facing teams have the tools and information they need to succeed.

We're looking for someone who can think strategically, communicate effectively, and bring structure and consistency to sales content across a growing organization.

What You'll Do

Sales Content Strategy & Development

  • Develop and manage an enterprise-wide sales-content strategy and roadmap.
  • Create compelling presentations, capability statements, case studies, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Translate technical information and business capabilities into clear, engaging content that supports relationship-based selling.
  • Establish standards for content quality, consistency, customization, version control, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Maintain an organized, accessible library of approved sales resources across the Townsend Family of Brands.

Strategic Sales Enablement & Market Intelligence

  • Research industry developments, market trends, and competitive activity to support Business Development initiatives.
  • Partner with Business Development Managers to understand customer needs, common objections, and opportunities to strengthen sales messaging.
  • Develop scalable sales-enablement tools that improve efficiency and reduce one-off content requests.
  • Capture customer success stories, proof points, and lessons learned from business development efforts.
  • Support Townsend's strategic initiatives through relevant market insights and sales-enablement resources.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Business Development, Sales Operations, business leaders, and subject-matter experts.
  • Ensure customer-facing content aligns with established brand and messaging standards.
  • Support sales-enablement activities, including trade shows and related initiatives, as needed.
  • Continuously improve processes and workflows that support the development, accessibility, and use of sales materials.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in sales enablement, content marketing, marketing communications, or a related field.
  • Strong business writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation-development skills.
  • Experience working directly with sales or business development teams.
  • Ability to translate complex information into effective, reusable sales tools.
  • Strong project management, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and document-development tools.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM and sales-content platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and business units.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in utility services, infrastructure, industrial services, or another relationship-driven B2B industry.
  • Experience conducting market-trend and competitive analysis to support business decisions.
  • Experience supporting multiple brands, business units, or acquired companies.
  • Experience coordinating with external graphic designers or production partners.
  • Why Join Townsend?
  • At Townsend, your work will have an impact beyond a single brand or business unit. You'll help shape how our organization communicates its capabilities, supports Business Development, and strengthens relationships with customers across the industries we serve.
  • If you enjoy combining strategic thinking, storytelling, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration, we encourage you to apply and help us continue building a stronger, more connected organization.
