About the Team

SoundOn is ByteDance's all-in-one music distribution and creator growth platform. It helps artists and labels build audiences across TikTok and beyond. As a Music Partnership Intern, you will support the North America team in managing and growing a portfolio of artist and label partners. You will learn how the business runs from the inside. Then you will use AI to rebuild how the work gets done, so the team runs more efficiently and creates more commercial value.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.

Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations team in data collection, cleaning and sorting, ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of data, and provide basic support for subsequent analysis.
• Use Tableau or similar data visualization tools (such as Power BI) to design concise and intuitive data charts, visually present analysis results, and support business decision-making.
• Use SQL for data query, filtering, aggregation and other operations, extract core data required for business, and assist in the construction and update of data reports.
• Cooperate with the team in sorting out and filing data-related documents, and participate in the optimization of data processes to improve data processing efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics or related field
• Able to commit to a minimum of 12 weeks for the internship
• Have a good data and mathematical background, master basic statistical analysis methods (such as descriptive statistics, probability distribution, etc.), be sensitive to data, and be good at finding problems from data.
• Proficient in data analytics tools, such as SQL, Tableau or similar data visualization tools. Be able to independently create data dashboards and visual charts;
• Experience using AI tools for data analysis, visualisation and process automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics or related field
• relevant practical experience with data analytics tools is preferred.
• Passionate about Music and TikTok, content creator experience is a plus

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $23.75- $23.75.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
