Apply for Account Manager - Post Sale

As an Account Manager, you own a book of tire dealer and repair shop accounts once they're live: their adoption, renewals, growth, and billing. You're the person who helps each shop add the products that grow their business, the person the shop calls about their bill, and the person who makes sure TireTutor gets paid.

About TireTutor, Inc.

TireTutor's product, tiretutor.ai is an all-in-one, AI-native shop management system for retail and wholesale tire dealers that automates tire pricing, reduces manual steps, and saves dealers up to 40 hours per week. With CRM, POS, inventory management, and tire ordering capabilities all within one system, dealers can operate their entire business out of one tab, using one login.

Description

TireTutor is an early-stage, Series A startup, and we're hiring an Account Manager to own the revenue relationship with our dealers. You'll join a team where your work moves the numbers every week: keeping customers paying, renewing, and growing. Work with founders who understand the auto industry, in a blameless environment that celebrates wins and focuses on what matters.

Our Purpose

Founded in 2018, TireTutor is a Boston-based company on a mission to make tire buying easy. Our all-in-one software connects digital retail to in-store operations for independent tire dealers and auto repair shops: a modern POS with integrated tire ordering and online scheduling, custom websites with service forms and e-commerce tire catalogs, B2B wholesale ordering, machine-learning-driven advertising, and AI tools like Tutor AI and an AI phone agent that answers calls and quotes tires.

We value kindness, appreciation for each other, and time with family. We work hard, automate what we can, and log off at a reasonable hour.

Position Overview

As an Account Manager, you own a book of tire dealer and repair shop accounts once they're live: their adoption, renewals, growth, and billing. You're the person who helps each shop add the products that grow their business, the person the shop calls about their bill, and the person who makes sure TireTutor gets paid.

That means getting shops fully using what they pay for, running renewals, and growing accounts by selling new products like MarketingTutor, websites, and the AI phone agent as we launch them. You'll also keep payments current, chase missed or failed payments, and handle refund and cancellation requests under the contract. A happy, paying, growing customer is the goal.

This is a startup role. We don't have a playbook for everything yet, so you'll help write it: how we collect, how we renew, and how we spot an at-risk account early. You'll have real ownership, a direct line to leadership, and the chance to shape account management as we scale.

Responsibilities

  • Adoption and retention
  • Check in with your accounts by phone and video, and visit shops in person when an account needs it.
  • Get shops fully using what they pay for: work orders, payments, DVI, supplier feeds, and their website.
  • Lead save conversations when a dealer wants to cancel, and work with our retention process.
  • Bring product feedback and bugs to the team, and follow them through.
  • Renewals and growth
  • Run renewals from start to finish: reach out ahead of the renewal date, confirm terms, and close them on time.
  • Spot upgrade and add-on opportunities, like websites, MarketingTutor, and the AI phone agent, and bring them to the dealer.
  • Sell new TireTutor products to your accounts as we launch them.
  • Forecast your renewals and flag at-risk revenue early.
  • Billing and payments
  • Own collections on your book: follow up on missed, failed, or declined payments and expired cards, and get accounts current.
  • Move dealers onto reliable payment methods, like ACH, and update billing details.
  • Answer every billing question: invoices, charges, taxes, credits, and receipts.
  • Handle refund, pause, and cancellation requests in line with each dealer's contract. Hold the line when a dealer is under contract, and explain why clearly and kindly.
  • Keep the record straight
  • Log every call, email, task, and billing change in HubSpot, the same day.
  • Keep each account's status, owner, and next step current, so anyone can pick it up.
  • Build the function
  • Create the playbooks for collections, renewals, and save conversations, and refine them as we learn.
  • Set up the HubSpot reports that show revenue at risk, upcoming renewals, and overdue accounts.
  • Share what you hear from dealers with product and leadership, so it shapes what we build next.

Required

  • 2+ years in account management, customer success, collections, or B2B sales with a book of recurring-revenue accounts.
  • You're comfortable talking about money: asking for a missed payment, holding firm on a contract, and closing a renewal or an upsell, while keeping the relationship strong.
  • Clear, friendly phone and email skills with small-business owners.
  • Process-oriented and organized, with follow-through across dozens of accounts at once, and a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
  • You like a fast-moving startup: you're comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities, and you'd rather build a process than wait for one.
  • Experience with a CRM, ideally HubSpot.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to visit shops in person.
  • Nice to have
  • Experience at an early-stage or Series A startup.
  • Experience in the tire, automotive, or auto repair industry.
  • Familiarity with SaaS subscriptions, invoicing, ACH and card payments, or Stripe.
  • Experience with shop management or point-of-sale software.
