What you will do
The Global Merchandising Solution Delivery organization develops the software and systems that determine where millions of products will move around the globe to our stores each day. Our team thrives on strong relationships with our business partners and working diligently to address their needs which support TJX growth and operational stability. On this tightly knit and fast-paced solution delivery team you will be constantly challenged to stretch and think outside the box.
As a Senior Engineer on the Global Buying Tools ART, you will help ensure the quality of TJX’s core Buying systems. You will contribute to automation testing practices as well as contribute across the SDLC using your strong functional expertise in retail buying processes, including awareness of purchase order systems and integrations with peripheral systems such as warehouse management systems and other downstream systems (financial/transactional).

We are seeking a motivated, talented, experienced Senior Engineer who can perform testing of medium complexity to ensure that systems are implemented and function as designed. They will also partner and collaborate with project team members across different functions and with the business and help drive the team’s deliverables using their functional knowledge.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Guide the team on functional roadmap and deliverables
- Contribute to story refinements, issue triaging, end to end functional testing using functional expertise in retail domain and buying tools.
- Analyse functional and automation test results, debug failures, and report defects using industry-standard tools.
- Support deployment activities, create test data, and ensure operational readiness for new features.
- Contribute to automation efforts for all major product releases, ensuring robust coverage and efficient execution.
- Develop and implement test automation scripts for complex, integrated systems, including cloud implementations, web applications, and APIs.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a Test Engineer or Business analyst or Functional testing with a proven track record in Retail domain.
Experience in functional testing or other relevant areas driving Buying processes and deliverables in a large-scale retail environment.
Experience as an Automation Engineer, with a proven track record in implementing robust automation test suites.
Experience with a programming language Java / C# and automation tools like Selenium
Proficient in software testing life cycle, testing methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence and HP/ALM and Zephyr
Proven ability in creating and executing medium to high complexity test cases both manually and/or by automation
Proven experience in creating complex functional and automation test plans utilizing Features, User Stories, and technical design documentation
Proven ability to perform defect management inclusive of triage and reporting
Must have technical skills
Subject matter expertise into Retail domain processes and tools.
Experience in Web application testing and API testing
Automated test development using scripting languages
Good to have technical skills
Azure cloud exposure
Experience working in cross geographical agile scrum teams
Exposure to SQL and No SQL databases like Cosmos
Any exposure to TOSCA as a test automation tool
