This position has accountability in planning, executing, and supervising audits and projects of varying complexity, with particular emphasis on overseeing and coordinating project staff.
We are seeking an intellectually curious, forward-thinking audit leader who combines deep audit expertise, critical thinking, and sound professional judgment with the ability to influence business decisions and drive meaningful improvements. Job Responsibilities
Independently plan, execute, and oversee complex operational, financial, compliance, and advisory audits, taking ownership of approved scope, objectives, audit programs, schedules, and deliverables throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Lead and oversee audit teams, including co-source partners, throughout planning, fieldwork, testing, reporting, and follow-up; establish clear expectations, review deliverables, provide feedback, and ensure audit quality and adherence to established methodologies and professional standards.
Lead integrated risk assessments across business functions, identify key controls, emerging risks, and cross-functional exposures, and develop risk-based audit scopes, objectives, testing strategies, and work plans. Contribute meaningful insights to the annual audit planning and risk assessment processes.
Direct the development and execution of audit programs and testing procedures; critically review business processes, policies, procedures, audit evidence, and workpapers to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness, ensuring accurate documentation and well-supported conclusions.
Apply intellectual curiosity, professional skepticism, and systems thinking to challenge assumptions, evaluate complex risks and interdependencies, identify root causes, and develop practical recommendations that address underlying control weaknesses and business risks.
Guide the sourcing, validation, and analysis of data to support reliable audit conclusions and identify opportunities to enhance audit insights.
Champion improvements in audit methodologies, processes, and technologies, including the use of data analytics, AI, and automation to enhance audit coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Lead the identification, validation, and documentation of audit findings and recommendations; translate complex business risks into clear, compelling reports and presentations that communicate business impact and support informed management decisions.
Build trusted relationships with business partners and audit teams, facilitate constructive discussions, align on corrective actions, and oversee the tracking and validation of remediation efforts to promote timely and sustainable risk mitigation.
Support departmental goals, resource planning, and strategic initiatives that strengthen Internal Audit's effectiveness and alignment with organizational priorities.
