Job Overview
This role addresses technical challenges by translating business and functional requirements into test deliverables and systems, with a focus on the voice/IVR applications supporting our postpaid, prepaid, Assurance Wireless, Retail Store, and Metro by T-Mobile customer experiences. It primarily involves developing, implementing, and sustaining test automation processes throughout software development and sustainment lifecycles, including advancing test execution from manual processes toward automated tests integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
The role is distinguished by leading test automation strategy and creating maintainable, high-quality automated test code and frameworks across a complex, multi-application environment. Success is measured by the effectiveness of automated test execution, integration into delivery pipelines, and quality assurance outcomes. The work impacts organizational software quality and reliability, supporting development teams and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated and manual tests — including test cases for voice/IVR applications — to measure product quality and support continuous delivery pipelines.
- Ensure requirements and user stories are testable and clarify ambiguities to support accurate test design and execution.
- Coordinate with development and operations teams across supported applications and business lines to uphold testing practices and meet quality thresholds.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation tools, systems, and test data to support development and testing activities, including validating application responses against expected test data and call flows.
- Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.
