We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Adelaide-based engineering team and help shape the next generation of innovative agricultural technology used around the world.

About the Role

This is a hands-on senior engineering position where you'll design, develop, test, and enhance software that powers some of the world's most advanced agricultural equipment and precision farming systems.

You will work across both embedded and computer-based applications, contributing to the full software development lifecycle while mentoring team members and helping drive technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software solutions for agricultural technology products
• Develop software requirements, technical designs and documentation
• Create and maintain C/C++ applications in embedded and real-time environments
• Build robust multi-threaded and event-driven software systems
• Debug, troubleshoot and optimise complex software applications
• Support software testing and validation activities
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers within the team
• Contribute to project planning, effort estimation and delivery schedules
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions

About You

You'll be a passionate software engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and seeing your work deployed in real-world applications.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree qualification in Software Engineering or a related discipline
• 4+ years' experience in software development within a team environment
• Strong experience with C/C++ development
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles

Experience working with Real-Time Embedded Systems

• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Multi-threaded applications and advanced debugging techniques
• Experience using modern development tools, including AI-assisted development technologies such as GitHub Copilot
