Trellis builds and deploys self-improving agents to get patients access to life-saving medicine.
Our AI agents process billions of dollars worth of therapies annually with patients in all fifty states. We do this by automating document intake, prior authorizations, and appeals at scale to streamline operations and accelerate care. We classify medical referrals, understand chart notes, and automate contract and reimbursement search to provide patients with accurate coverage determinations and cost responsibility. Think of us as the the infrastructure behind how the patients get the medications.
Trellis is a spinout from Stanford AI Lab and is backed by leading investors including YC, General Catalyst, Telesoft Partners, and executives at Google and Salesforce.
The Role
We're hiring a Sales Development Representative to start conversations with the healthcare organizations that need Trellis most. You'll be the first voice many prospects hear from us: you'll research accounts, reach out across phone, email, and LinkedIn, and book qualified meetings for our Account Executives.
We sell to specialty pharmacies, infusion centers, provider groups (oncology, neurology, rheumatology, dermatology), and health systems. You'll learn how specialty medications get approved and paid for, and how to explain why that matters to the people who run these operations. This is a launchpad role with a clear path to Account Executive.
Compensation: The pay range listed is on-target earnings (OTE), including base salary and commission.
What You'll Do
- Book qualified meetings: Own a monthly target for meetings held with the right decision-makers in operations, revenue cycle, and pharmacy
- Run multi-channel outreach: Make cold calls, send personalized emails, and engage on LinkedIn, using AI tools to research accounts and tailor your message
- Qualify early: Find out whether a prospect has the problem we solve, what systems they use, and who decides, before handing them to an AE
- Work events and inbound: Follow up fast on conference leads, webinar sign-ups, and inbound interest
- Keep HubSpot clean: Log every touch and meeting so the team has an accurate view of pipeline
- Sharpen the playbook: Share what messaging lands and what doesn't, and help test new segments and talk tracks
About You
You're competitive, coachable, and unfazed by hearing "no." You like picking up the phone, you write a sharp email, and you get energy from turning a cold conversation into a real meeting.
You're early in your career and want to learn sales the right way, at a company where your work shows up directly in revenue and in patients getting care.
What You'll Bring
- 1+ years in sales, business development, or another customer-facing role; strong new grads also welcome
- Comfort with high-volume outreach, especially cold calling
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication
- Curiosity to learn a complex industry and explain it simply
- Discipline and organization: you hit your activity goals and follow up relentlessly
- Interest in AI tools and ways to work smarter, not just harder
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or B2B SaaS exposure is a plus
- Ambition to grow into an Account Executive role
Why Work With Us
- Clear path to closing: Learn full-cycle sales alongside our founders and AEs, with a path to an Account Executive role as you prove yourself.
- Real impact at massive scale: We serve patients in all fifty states. Every meeting you book can lead to more patients starting therapy sooner.
- Incredible growth and traction: We've grown revenue 10x in the past few months alone and have XX% market share in the specialty healthcare markets we serve.
- AI-native sales team: Work with modern tools and a GTM Engineer building automation that lets you spend time on conversations, not busywork.
- Learn a deep industry fast: Work alongside healthcare operations leaders who have overseen 50+ locations, and gain expertise that compounds over your career.
- World-class team: Join teammates who have won international physics olympiads, were founding engineers at unicorn startups, and taught AI classes to hundreds of Stanford graduate students.
