POSITION OVERVIEW

2027 Summer Internship Program

The Internal Audit Intern works as an apprentice under the direction of the VP -Internal Audit and is responsible for functions needed in the Internal Audit Department. The Internal Audit will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the Company. Other key responsibilities include:

Conduct operational audits, including reviewing purchasing card transactions, expense reimbursements, pharmacy claims and financial controls for compliance.

Prepare audit reports, risk assessments, and presentations using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Assist with audit engagements, departmental projects, and serve as a resource for broader audit initiatives.

Support the evaluation and enhancement of internal controls and risk mitigation processes to improve operational efficiency.

Maintain, update, and manage audit-related data, records, and documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support compliance initiatives and process improvement efforts.

Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities, including control testing, documentation review, and evaluation of internal control effectiveness over financial reporting.
