Rail Freight Pay Coordinator

RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries Inc., is looking for a Freight Payment Coordinator.  The Freight Payment Coordinator’s primary objective is to manage the freight accrual exception process for rail shipments and activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage freight accrual exception process.
• Identify empty and tariff rates as needed and upload into database.
• Utilize EDI 404/417 to confirm Payer of Freight as needed.
• Manage accrual without invoice exceptions.
• Resolve accrual and invoice non-match exceptions.  Dispute as needed.
• Create ad hoc reports.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in rail operations, freight payment or accounting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• General understanding of accounting practices.
• System savvy (prior ERP experience or Rail TMS experience highly preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
