JOB SUMMARY

The Operational Risk Effective Challenge Officer is a key contributor to Truist’s second line of defense Operational Risk Oversight team, responsible for delivering independent, objective effective challenge for first line execution of the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Program. While primary responsibilities of the role focus on the RCSA Program, the scope of effective challenge can extend to other Operational Risk Programs as enterprise needs evolve.

The Operational Risk Effective Challenge Officer performs independent reviews of Assessment Unit (AU) activities across the enterprise and applies business-area knowledge, developed through experience, to assess the quality, completeness, and soundness of first line risk and control execution in alignment with RCSA Program requirements.
