UFORCE exists to make aggression unaffordable. Founded in Ukraine and headquartered in London, UFORCE is a defence-technology company with operations across Europe, the United States and Asia. UFORCE builds uncrewed vessels, ground robotics and aircraft, autonomy software, and the command-and-control layer that operates them together. Each platform is deployable on its own, and stronger as part of the system. Its product lines include the MAGURA family of uncrewed surface vessels, the NEMESIS family of strike platforms, the LIUT family of ground robotic platforms, and counter-UAS systems.
ABOUT THE ROLE UFORCE is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help build and operate the cloud infrastructure platform behind our sovereign mission operations teams. You’ll make it safer and easier to deploy, upgrade, and run UFORCE services in on-premises environments, including sites with limited or no internet connectivity. You’ll combine hands-on infrastructure engineering with practical operational ownership: automating deployments, strengthening reliability, and making sure customer IT and partner operations teams can run the platform with confidence.
You’ll work closely with Platform Engineering, Security, and customer-facing teams, with a focus on solutions that are secure, supportable, and usable in the field. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Build and improve deployment and maintenance automation for on-premises environments, including infrastructure as code, packaging, environment validation, and preflight checks. - Make releases and upgrades work reliably in offline or restricted-network settings: manage artifacts and versioning, define validation gates, and document staged rollout and rollback procedures. - Develop repeatable deployment patterns for VM-based, Kubernetes-based, and mixed environments, and document when and how to handle deviations. - Establish and maintain an observability baseline for constrained environments, including useful metrics, logs, alerts, and dashboards.
Make alerts actionable and link them to clear runbooks. - Define and operationalize service-level objectives and change-safety practices such as smoke tests, rollout checks, and rollback-first procedures. - Respond to incidents across deployed environments, coordinate diagnosis and communication, and turn lessons learned into improvements to automation, monitoring, and operations. - Create and maintain operational playbooks, troubleshooting guides, escalation paths, and maintenance workflows for customer IT and partner operations teams. - Partner with engineering and security teams to identify operational risks early and ensure new platform capabilities are ready to deploy and support. - Coach teammates on practical reliability habits, including debugging, alert quality, incident follow-through, and documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS - Significant hands-on experience operating production infrastructure or services in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering. - Experience building and maintaining infrastructure as code with Terraform or a comparable tool, including safe practices for testing and applying changes. - Practical experience with Kubernetes, virtual-machine platforms, or both; an understanding of deployment and upgrade challenges in constrained environments. - Experience designing or operating observability systems for metrics, logs, alerts, and dashboards, including environments that cannot rely on SaaS services. - Ability to design safe release, upgrade, and rollback workflows and to make them usable through clear operational documentation. - Strong incident-response skills: you can investigate ambiguous symptoms, prioritize checks, coordinate with stakeholders, and follow through on corrective actions. - Clear written and verbal communication, especially when explaining technical risks, procedures, and trade-offs to engineering and operations partners. - A practical, ownership-oriented approach to reliability: you improve the system and close the loop from incident to prevention.
NICE TO HAVE - Experience with air-gapped, on-premises, or strongly segmented enterprise or defense environments. - Experience supporting deployments operated by customer IT teams, third-party operations teams, or managed service providers. - Familiarity with enterprise identity integrations such as Active Directory, LDAP, or SSO, as well as secrets management and auditability. - Experience defining service-level objectives and improving reliability through incident reviews and measurable follow-up. - Familiarity with security or compliance constraints and how to balance them with safe, supportable operations.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE - Standard environment setup and refresh becomes faster and more repeatable, with a path to completing common footprints in less than a day. - Upgrade and rollback procedures are validated, well documented, and executable by partner operations teams with limited SRE support. - New deployments have usable dashboards and actionable alerts quickly, supported by reusable configuration and runbooks. - Customer and partner operations teams resolve more routine issues independently, while recurring incidents lead to durable engineering improvements.
The nature of combat has changed. Tomorrow’s battlefield success depends on autonomy, speed, and adaptability. And UFORCE is ready. Are You?
