This position owns a fraud detection and prevention capability that is sold externally in the market and directly generates revenue. The role is accountable for the full product lifecycle - strategy, design, development, management and end-of-life - of fraud detection and dispute-adjacent products, whether built in-house, acquired, or sourced through partnerships. The candidate will bring hands-on familiarity with how fraud is detected, scored, investigated and disputed in production environments, and with the vendor and platform landscape that competes in this space (e.g., rules engines, machine-learning fraud scoring, case management/investigation tools, network-level fraud signals, and real-time transaction monitoring).
Leverages market and competitive insight to identify new opportunities, prioritize investment, and keep the fraud product portfolio ahead of evolving fraud typologies and regulatory expectations. Accountable for the P&L and for product performance against fraud-loss, detection-rate, false-positive, and customer-experience targets.
Primary Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap and lifecycle of fraud detection and prevention products/capabilities
Define and articulate the business value proposition, capability vision, and multi-year direction for fraud products
Maintain a working knowledge of the fraud detection market - detection methodologies (rules-based, ML/AI scoring, behavioral/biometric, network-level signals), investigation and case management workflows, and the vendor/competitor landscape
Establish KPI targets (e.g., fraud detection rate, false-positive rate, dollars prevented, case resolution time) and make data-driven decisions to maintain, scale, pivot, or sunset capabilities
Partner with data science, engineering, risk, compliance and operations teams to translate fraud typologies and emerging threat patterns into product requirements
Drive operational readiness for new detection models/rules, ensuring alignment across engineering, fraud operations, compliance and customer-facing teams
Build cross-enterprise relationships (issuers, processors, risk/compliance, legal) to accelerate adoption and ensure regulatory and operational fit
Lead demos, stakeholder communications, and business case development for new fraud detection capabilities or vendor/build decisions
Monitor the external fraud and payments-security market (emerging fraud schemes, competitor offerings, regulatory changes) and proactively adjust product strategy
Anticipate fraud, compliance, and operational risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies
Analyze fraud performance data and investigation outcomes to identify gaps, root causes, and improvement opportunities
Provide explanations and interpretations of fraud trends and product performance within area of expertise
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any directives (including changes to work location, team, shift, or work arrangements) as the business environment evolves. The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives at its discretion
Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product management, risk/fraud product management, or financial technology
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience with fraud detection processes and applications - e.g., transaction monitoring, fraud scoring/ML models, rules engines, case management/investigation platforms, or similar fraud-prevention tooling used in the market
- Solid knowledge of card payments, open-loop processing, and dispute/chargeback workflows as they relate to fraud
- Working familiarity with the competitive/vendor landscape for fraud detection solutions (e.g., major fraud platforms, network fraud tools, or comparable systems)
- Demonstrated deep strategic thinking and proven ability to influence without authority
- Ability to translate complex fraud data and detection methodologies into clear business cases and product requirements for cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor's degree; graduate degree or equivalent experience

We believe everyone - of every race, gender, sexuality, age, location and income - deserves the opportunity to live their healthiest life. Today, however, there are still far too many barriers to good health which are disproportionately experienced by people of color, historically marginalized groups and those with lower incomes. We are committed to mitigating our impact on the environment and enabling and delivering equitable care that addresses health disparities and improves health outcomes - an enterprise priority reflected in our mission.
