Fortinet is growing and we are looking to hire a Senior or Intermediate Cloud Software Developer for Video Surveillance solutions to join our team in Ottawa. At Fortinet, you will be involved in the full development lifecycle of software and product development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for development and learning new technologies.
Skills and Knowledge Required
5+ years of software development experience in Unix/Linux environment
Experience with IP cameras, streaming protocols, etc...
Experience with IP cameras SoC
- Experience with image/video AI models such object detector / classifier but as well as VLM, LLM, etc..
- Experience in C/C++, Java, script programming, such as Python, Perl
- Solid background in TCP/IP networking and multi-threaded programming
- Experience of administration of virtualization platforms, such as KVM, Xen, VMWare, is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education Required
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent
FThe Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $122,000- $150,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
