About the role
- We have IT Infra team to manage VM and physical IT infra servers globally.
- The primary objective of this team is to support, manage and monitor existing infra server VMWARE, Esxi and Physical Hardware including UCS, Blade, Chassis and Rack servers)
- Virtualization Management: Administer and support VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter Servers and Nsx-v and NSX-t infra instances.
- Cluster & Resource Health: Monitor and manage cluster configurations, High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and vSAN datastores.
- Incident & Problem Management: Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, VM connectivity losses, storage latency, and host failures.
- Patching & Upgrades: Perform regular lifecycle management, firmware updates, and ESXi/vCenter patching and Dell OMSA
- Backup & Recovery: Coordinate with enterprise backup tools (e.g., Veeam, NetBackup) to ensure VM data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaboration: Work alongside Windows/Linux OS, storage, and network teams on root cause analysis (RCA) and infrastructure maintenance.
- Monitoring: Regular Monitoring of Infra servers and services via Zabbix, VMware vROps , physical servers support and AMC
- Vendors Cordination: Work with On Prem and On Cloud Datacenter support teams for vendor engagement and support coordination.
- Knowledge of Horizon VDI, SRM, Hyperv and Azure will have extra advantage.
- Currently, we have a Principal Engineer, Aneesh Koshy, who has put his resignation letter on 07h Aug. His last working day will be 5th Oct 2026.
