About the role

We have a Spring 2027 Co-Op opportunity in Supply Chain!

The VEGA Americas Co-op program is designed to give students real-world, hands-on experiences. This paid position allows students to use the knowledge they’ve learned in the classroom and apply it to everyday workplace scenarios. Co-ops are full members of their department with daily responsibilities, and graduates who complete the program will obtain new skills they can use in their career.

Don’t take it from us alone, VEGA has been awarded a Cincinnati Enquirer’s Top Workplace Award for the past 10 years!

The Supply Chain Co-Op will support procurement, material planning, inventory management, supplier performance, and logistics activities. Responsibilities include monitoring purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, analyzing inventory and material requirements, supporting sourcing projects, maintaining ERP data, preparing supply chain reports, and working with production, engineering, and quality teams. The co-op will also contribute to cost-reduction, supplier-improvement, and process-improvement initiatives and complete a defined project with measurable business impact.

What you'll do

  • Support purchasing and material planning by creating and monitoring purchase orders, tracking supplier deliveries, and identifying shortages or long-lead-time components.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, item, pricing, lead-time, and inventory data in the ERP/MRP system and prepare reports on material availability and supply chain performance.
  • Assist with supplier management and sourcing activities, including requests for quotation, bid comparisons, supplier research, scorecards, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and customer service to resolve material, inventory, supplier quality, and engineering-change issues.
