About the Role
The Senior Executive, Business Development & Marketing, APAC will work closely with Global Marketing to help run and advance We.'s proactive growth program across the region.
Based in Singapore and sitting within the Global Marketing team, the role reports to the Marketing Director, APAC and serves as a key partner in turning proactive growth strategy into consistent commercial momentum across our key markets, working alongside BD and sector leads in each.
The role supports the region’s marketing efforts, thought leadership and research launches — including Brands in Motion and the Future of Communications APAC report — owned events and other moments that build relationships with prospective clients. It also keeps the region’s pipeline visible and moving, making sure the interest marketing generates is captured, tracked and turned into qualified opportunities, with a clear view for leadership of what's in play.
Responsibilities
- Manage APAC's BD pipeline and CRM data, keeping trackers current and easy to read so leadership always has a clear view of what's in play.
- Turn regional and global marketing campaigns, reports and events into a steady flow of qualified leads, and run nurture journeys that keep prospects engaged over time.
- Drive timely follow-up on every lead, handing off to the right market team with the context they need to act.
- Conduct prospect research and relationship mapping — building profiles, identifying decision-makers and surfacing pathways into priority organisations.
- Identify timely opportunities for engagement, monitoring signals that create natural reasons to engage: company news, executive moves, new hires and industry milestones.
- Support outreach around thought leadership launches, owned events and webinars, from prospect lists through to post-event follow-up.
- Build a regular reporting on pipeline health and conversion, and translate it into practical insight to inform regional strategies.
- Work across markets to align BD activity and connect regional efforts to broader marketing and global growth goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in business development, demand generation, growth marketing — PR or marketing agency experience preferred
- Hands-on experience managing a BD or sales pipeline, ideally across multiple markets or a regional remit
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce or Dynamics) and marketing automation or lead-nurture tools
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable building reports and dashboards and drawing actionable conclusions from data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional APAC language is a plus
- Experience working in or with APAC markets, with an understanding of regional business cultures and dynamics
- Comfortable in a matrixed, cross-border team, collaborating across teams, levels and time zones.
- A self-starter who handles shifting priorities and deadlines with ease — and a sense of humour
- Strong customer service orientation and a willingness to pitch across the business
