Your Role

Hi, I’m Patrick Moeller, Senior Director, Sales at WebPros and your future manager.

I lead go-to-market for Comet Backup, a fast, white-labelable backup and data protection product built for Managed Service Providers, and we’re growing our presence across EMEA. We’re hiring a Sales Executive who already knows how MSPs buy and what earns their trust. You’ll be our field presence in the region: owning the full sales cycle and representing Comet at the MSP events where buyers actually are. EMEA is not one market, so expect different buying habits, partners, and expectations from country to country, and a role that is relationship-driven and travel-heavy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle for Comet Backup in the EMEA MSP market, from prospecting and pipeline building through to close and handoff, so regional revenue grows predictably.
  • Work MSP conferences and industry events across the region to generate leads and build relationships, so Comet is top of mind where buyers already gather.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through outbound outreach, event networking, referrals, distributors, and partner channels, so results don’t depend on a single lead source.
  • Run consultative demos tailored to the pain points of each MSP, so buyers see how Comet’s white-label model fits their business and local requirements.
  • Share market feedback with Product and Marketing, including what differs by country, so the EMEA go-to-market strategy reflects what you hear in the field.
  • Hit quarterly revenue targets and report clearly on pipeline health, activity, and forecast accuracy, so leadership can trust the numbers.
  • Build long-term relationships with MSP partners to drive retention, upsell, and referrals.

Your Qualifications

Must-haves - Proven sales experience in the MSP channel: you understand how MSPs operate, buy, and evaluate tools. - Track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a field or territory sales role. - Comfortable with conference-led sales: you know how to work a room, follow up, and turn conversations into pipeline. - Based in Europe, with willingness to travel to MSP events and conferences across the region. - Strong written and verbal English.

Nice-to-haves - Direct experience selling backup, disaster recovery, or data protection solutions. - An existing network in the European MSP community, including distributors and ecosystems such as ConnectWise, Kaseya, Pax8, or similar. - Fluency in one or more European languages besides English. - Familiarity with GDPR and data residency questions that come up when MSPs choose a backup vendor. - Familiarity with white-label or multi-tenant software models, and experience with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management.

Your Impact in the First 120 Days

30 Days: Learn & Integrate - Complete WebPros onboarding and learn Comet Backup in depth: product, positioning, competitors, and current customers in the region. - Meet key stakeholders across Product, Marketing, and Customer Success. - Attend your first European MSP event as a Comet Backup representative.

60 Days: Contribute & Collaborate - Build an active pipeline of qualified MSP prospects and early-stage opportunities, and agree with Michael which countries and segments you’ll focus on first. - Deliver your first product demos independently and bring the feedback back to the team. - Set up a repeatable outreach and follow-up rhythm that produces consistent pipeline activity.

90 Days: Take Ownership - Own your EMEA pipeline end-to-end, with clear visibility into forecast and next steps. - Close your first deals and show a working understanding of what makes MSPs in your focus markets convert. - Share early insights on what’s working in the field, and where markets differ, with Michael and the wider team.

120 Days: Drive Growth - Operate as a fully ramped AE, hitting or tracking toward quarterly targets. - Have a real presence in the European MSP community, with relationships that go beyond transactional. - Identify new channels, events, distributors, or partnership opportunities to grow Comet’s MSP footprint in the region.

You Might Thrive Here If You

  • Love the MSP world and care about helping service providers grow their business.
  • Are energised by field sales: conferences, networking, and building relationships in person.
  • Are comfortable owning your pipeline and results without heavy supervision.
  • Take initiative in a remote, async-first environment and work well with a manager and colleagues in other time zones.
  • Enjoy figuring out how different countries buy, and adapting your approach to each.

You Might Struggle Here If You

  • Prefer inbound-led or purely inside sales and aren’t excited about travel and events.
  • Are uncomfortable with the ambiguity of an emerging product in a growth phase.
  • Need rigid structure, daily check-ins, or close management to stay productive.
  • Want one playbook that works the same way in every market.
  • Have no prior exposure to how MSPs think, buy, or operate.
