About this role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Digital Product Manager for Agentic Operations who will lead the day-to-day management, optimization, governance, and performance of AI agents that support Marketing business operations. This role combines product ownership, operations management, AI fluency, analytics, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure agentic solutions deliver reliable, measurable, and compliant business outcomes.
In this role, you will
Manage operational guardrails for agent and LLM usage, ensuring agent activity stays within defined thresholds for time, cost, risk, autonomy, escalation, and business-approved use.
Establish and monitor controls that prevent unmanaged agent behavior, including runaway loops, excessive retries, unsupported tool use, policy exceptions, and outputs that exceed approved risk tolerance.
Oversee the resilience of agent operations by defining fallback paths, failover routines, human-in-the-loop escalation, exception handling, and continuity plans when agents, models, tools, or knowledge sources are unavailable or degraded.
Monitor and improve agent response-time performance across priority workflows, identifying latency drivers and partnering with technology teams to optimize routing, orchestration, caching, context handling, and service-level expectations.
Evaluate whether the selected LLM, model, or model tier is appropriate for each task, balancing quality, complexity, latency, cost, risk, and the required level of reasoning before routing work to higher-capability models.
Maintain visibility into token usage, model consumption, cost trends, and capacity requirements at the agent, workflow, business area, and portfolio levels.
Translate token, cost, latency, risk, and usage data into capacity management recommendations that keep the agentic operating model aligned with business-area strategic priorities.
Develop executive-ready reporting that communicates agent health, performance, resilience, risk posture, capacity consumption, and recommended prioritization decisions.
Partner with product, technology, risk, compliance, analytics, and business stakeholders to refine operating standards and ensure agentic capabilities scale responsibly across the enterprise.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, digital product management, marketing technology, AI-enabled operations, business execution, risk management, or a related function

Experience with AI-enabled marketing operations, enterprise AI platforms, LLM-based capabilities, agent orchestration, observability tools, knowledge management, or workflow automation.
Proficient understanding of marketing platforms, campaign operations, customer engagement capabilities, workflow orchestration, and the controls required to operate in a regulated financial services environment.
Experience managing resources, objectives, priorities, and operating routines within a functional area, including capacity planning, performance tracking, issue resolution, and escalation management.
Demonstrated ability to manage moderately complex to complex business, operational, technical, or risk challenges using data, sound judgment, and structured decision-making.
Experience partnering with product, technology, analytics, compliance, risk, controls, legal, and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes while managing dependencies and risk.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate technical, operational, and risk concepts into clear business recommendations for managers and senior leaders.
Ability to operate with a risk mindset, drive operational excellence, simplify processes, and hold teams accountable for quality, timeliness, and business outcomes.
Experience applying governance, audit, privacy, information classification, responsible AI, model risk, or control expectations to digital, marketing, or technology-enabled business processes.
Experience developing operating models, playbooks, performance scorecards, executive reporting, adoption plans, and capacity management routines for a business or platform function.
Experience leading through ambiguity, influencing without direct authority, and aligning cross-functional partners around strategic priorities, trade-off decisions, and measurable outcomes.
