The opportunity
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is the world’s oldest and largest network of real estate and land use experts, with more than 48,000 members worldwide. Our European community includes the leaders of the industry: the investors, developers, lenders and advisers shaping the built environment.
ULI Europe has invested in a new-look business development function, and we’re growing the team with a Business Development Executive. You will own a defined territory of the European market, selling corporate membership and sponsorship for one of the most trusted brands in real estate, with uncapped monthly commission.
What you’ll be selling
This is consultative selling, not transactional. ULI’s corporate partnerships and sponsorships are multi-layered engagements: executive access, thought leadership, research collaboration and visibility at flagship events including the ULI European Conference and the C Change Summit. Your conversations will be with senior decision-makers: the people who lead investment houses, development companies and advisory firms across Europe. And you’ll be opening doors with one of the strongest convening brands in the industry behind you.
What you’ll do
- Own a defined industry territory and personal sales targets for new corporate membership and sponsorship.
- Hunt: research prospects, work referrals and warm leads from ULI’s European network, and generate qualified opportunities through events, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and your own initiative.
- Lead outreach, present proposals and close packages, with the VP, New Business EMEA alongside you on the largest partnership negotiations.
- Represent ULI at conferences and industry events across Europe.
- Run a disciplined pipeline in our CRM, from first contact through to handover to our account management team.
What you’ll bring
- A track record of meeting or exceeding targets in B2B sales: sponsorship, partnerships, membership, subscriptions or another commercial field.
- The confidence to engage senior stakeholders, and the curiosity for a consultative, multi-stakeholder sale.
- Strong organisation, pipeline discipline and CRM habits.
- Sector knowledge of real estate, the built environment or professional services is a plus, and we would be especially interested to hear from you if you have sold data, research, analytics or insight products into the property industry.
- The existing right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
What’s in it for you
- Uncapped earnings. Monthly commission on everything you sell, with realistic first-year on-target earnings of £60,000 to £75,000, made up of base salary plus uncapped monthly commission, and genuine headroom beyond.
- Shape something new. Join a new-look European function early, with a defined territory and a clear runway as it grows.
- Access. The ULI brand opens conversations at the most senior levels of European real estate. You will build a network here that lasts a career.
- Flexibility and benefits. Hybrid working (2 to 3 days per week) from our office in central London, 25 days leave, private medical insurance and pension, and real investment in your professional growth.
