Foley Mansfield’s Minneapolis office is seeking a motivated law student to join our team as a Summer Associate for summer 2027. You’ll work directly with attorneys on active matters, gaining hands-on experience in research, drafting, and case preparation while contributing to real client work.
About the Program
Our summer associate program is designed to give you a real sense of what it's like to be a practicing attorney at Foley Mansfield, while also giving you the chance to build relationships across the firm, sharpen your legal skills, and learn about our many practice areas and clients.
Summer associates regularly conduct legal research and draft client documents. Throughout the summer, you will be invited to shadow attorneys, which may include sitting in on depositions, court arguments, and/or client meetings. There may also be an opportunity to co-author an article or presentation with one of our attorneys. Over the course of the program, you will receive formal mentorship, gain exposure to a variety of practice areas, and take part in several virtual social events with fellow summer associates.
We are looking for individuals with solid skills in oral communication, leadership, and legal analysis and writing. Successful candidates will have excellent academic credentials, work well within a team, and possess a client-service mindset.
Why Join Us
Real responsibility, close mentorship from practicing attorneys, and meaningful exposure to litigation from start to finish. Our summer associates in Minneapolis are paid $1,500 per week.
To Apply
Qualified candidates should submit resume, writing sample, and law school transcript.
